The only verdict is vengeance ; a vendetta , held as a votive , not in vain , for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous . Verily , this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it is my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V.

Ecclesiastes 9:5 -"the dead know nothing at all"
by aqwsed12345 inthe narrator of the book of ecclesiastes had very little knowledge of many things that jesus and his apostles later preached.
the author does not make statements, but only wonders (thinks, observes, often raises questions, and leaves them open).
he looked at the world based on the law of moses and found nothing but vanity, as the earthly reward promised in the law did not always accompany good deeds and earthly punishment for evil deeds.

I prefer discussion posts. Short ones!!
I don't want to be told what to believe because someone says so.

I have nothing against AQWY. Never met them. But the posts are far too long for me to even start reading.
If I have feedback for AQWY, it is - 'less is more'.
Or please do a short paragraph that I can read without booking a day off work. Then a conversation can develop.
AQWY isn't the only one that I don't bother reading posts from because of the protracted nature of the text.

What does this even mean?
by Blotty in"the son is born of the father by generation, but generation should not be understood in the everyday sense.
the son is derived from the father through pure spiritual generation, through the unlimited sharing of his essence.
so, the birth of the son is an intellectual activity of god.".

Blotster - for reasons that should be self evident
Well. That was lost on me, mate.
for reasons that are apparent -
Again. I must be missing something.

JW Writing Committee has a dilemma with Stephen's prayer
by BoogerMan in(acts 7:59, 60) "and they went on casting stones at stephen as he made appeal* and said: “lord jesus, receive my spirit.” then, bending his knees, he cried out with a strong voice: “jehovah, do not charge this sin against them.” and after saying this he fell asleep [in death].
" *or, “invocation; prayer.” nwt reference bible).
w59 2/1 p. 96 - jesus had taught his followers that the father authorized him to raise others to life.

I'm surprised they haven't crow barred in; '.....and evidently(tm) Stephen would want you to give us your money.'

Are we living in the LAST DAYS?
by Fisherman inare we living in the prophetic last days that will climax into armageddon?
if this is true then how long should it take?
as jw saw it, wt compared timing to within a generation using 70 ad as a parallel.

Lasty -Daniel explained the end of WW2 and the end of Germany, the king of the north.
It's all down to interpretation. Not necessarily correct interpretation, either.
I admire your zeal. As I say, you can get 100 top theologians to talk about this Daniel stuff and they could all disagree on what you said. (Personally, I think it's not to be taken too literally).
… why don’t you ask them.
Who is 'them'? I don't follow you. Can you clarify?
What I wrote WILL happen, and sooner than you think.
Er....when?
Not being funny, mate; but you sound a bit too 'over enthusiastic'.

In case I missed something; where is the quote from? Who actually wrote it? Were they smoking weed or eating shrooms at the time?

How did they get Michael Caine to pose for this one?

Jan from Tam - Punky l once quoted the death and taxes thing to someone who replied , seriously
" Oh not really , I've ordered some that didn't turn up "Not denigrating LMStanding here, but I have noticed many times that some Americans don't see further than America. Some think America is the only country there is. I wonder if those on Baffin Island or in Stoke Poges think it's all about their location?
