well, im off to the circuit assembly tomorrow.
two days of sheer joy and missed sports!
!two days of the same twenty or so brothers giving talks(it's who you know so i am told) and demonstrations, reminding us of how much they enjoy god bothering people on a saturday.
The last arse-embly I attended was the overlapping new light one. It was beyond tedious!
One demonstration was how a JDub wasn't speaking to her best friend anymore because QUOTE: ''She gave in to apostate thinking!''

talking with a friend, yesterday.. he said asked if the jws attitude had changed on attending meetings.. it seems that while browsing the internet on his phone.. he came across a website that said, "that missing meetings was not wrong , as jehovah knows whats in your heart.".
he couldn't remember the websites title, just that it had "watchtower" in the address.. has anyone else come across this?.
i find it odd that the watchtower would say such a thing, considering the way they are are the moment.. seemingly more strict on meeting attendance.. .
Missing Meetings is OK = the washtowel would never say this because they wouldn't be able to 'mind cleans' you.
My advice though is to miss as many meetings as possible!!
so, i'm sitting at my desk one morning, about a week ago.
the desk is right beside my sliding glass door in my new ground floor suite.
the drapes are wide open and i'm sitting in full view of anyone coming up the driveway.

there are a great many puzzlements in regard to the meek and servile compliance of witnesses but one area has long interested me.
specifically, why don't more witness parents get angry at the do-nothing watchtower society?
i can recall one somewhat deranged elder's wife who got away with demanding to speak to the assembled body of elders because she was worried that 'all of of our kids are falling out of the truth'.

i was talking to a workmate yesterday about my jw experiance and my daughters abuse , she told me that she works as a counsellor and had been discussing jws with a colleage , this person had given counselling to a jw woman who was a victim of domestic violence by her jw husband , the elders had done nothing to help the woman and simply told her to stop moaning about it !
the counseller was disgusted that in this day and age women are still treated like that !
the jw lady eventually left her husband , took the children with her and got disfellowshipped !!!!
Every cloud has a silver lining! (I am sorry for the victims of the JW abuse, this is unforgivable).
However, The more reproach that is brought upon the god of the watchtower the better! (No disrespect/blasphemy to any living, fictional or other god whether noodly or not, intended)

Para 2 = I don't see how eating a fruit as recommended by a talking snake means Adam & Eve's marriage failed. They had children after. The issue was different to a 'failed' marriage issue.

Understanding of truth? Then why have some truth's (quote fingers used), actually changed. IE. The men of Sodm will/won't/will/etc get resurrected. That's hardly understanding increasing. The understanding is being switched on and off.
