" at the bottom of the image on the back of the invitation raises some eyebrows, but last night in the routine district convention article during the service meeting, i caught that one of the paragraphs mentioned that we would be encouraged to keep a copy of the tract in hand for a discussion during sunday's last talk.

my guess is, there is going to be some new revelation about what the "?

i'm an active jehovah's witness.

i've obviously lost my faith, that's why i don't feel bad posting here anymore.

i'd probably be disfellowshipped as a division causing, teaching, apostate, faster than you can say "maher-shalal-hash-baz" (isaiah 8:1), should it be found out that i was posting here and did not repent of the things i've said and stop participating in this forum.

PS. You can't count time with me if you are genuine, I'm not DF, DA or anything of the sort. I am still considered a 'publisher' although I don't write many books if the title confuses some!!

Well if that isn't the cult propaganda technique of 'name calling' I don't know what is. It seems to me 1pnt may not be a genuine JW but someone having fun with threads. If I were 'newly interested' and came across 1pnt's comments I would certainly curtail my interest post haste.

I think 1pnt is expert at 'unwitnessing'. Well done.

No memorable talks at assemblies? Sorry to sound cynical!

i used to give public talks from the rigid outlines from borg hq.

i remember altering some talks from 45mins to 30mins.. this was great because before we were given 30min scripts i could take licence and pick and choose which bits i felt were more christian.

before my exit i gave resisting the spirit of the world 30min with my own spin on true christian love.

i don't even know where to start.

every jw i still have contact with is poor, their health is bad, they're stressed out, they're unhappy people.

they put on a good front but you can see the strained smiles, those distant looks into nowhere (or where their life could have gone).

Cult of Personality

it's funny how when you are able to take a step back an look at the big picture...you start to notice things that are just a bit wierd.. for instance...at the meeting the other night, we all sang song number 58 (notice the first verse).

then look at the songs in the rest of the songbook...and you will see that verses of this nature are in pretty much every other song.

keep singing these over and over at the kh and you begin to memorize them and eventually find yourself singing or humming them later without realizing it.
