  How Do You Know You Are In The Wrong Religion?

  i believe this list which many of us worked on needs to see the light of day again...and added to if possible.. you know you are in the wrong religion:1. when the all important question is not: "do you believe in the lord jesus christ?"....but....

  "do you believe in the "faithful and discreet slave" appointed in brooklyn in 1919?"2.

  when you will be refused baptism if: a. you don't believe jerusalem was destroyed in 607 bc (whereas all non-jw scholars, all encyclopedias and all history books say this event took place in 587 bc.)b.

  any opinions are just speculation, but my guess, being morbid, is that there was not a hull breach and implosion (although that would have been the most merciful fate for them), but instead the amateur level of building this thing meant that it lost power and communication and got itself tangled in the titanic's wreckage or is sitting on the actual seabed with no way to release ballast to resurface.

  terrifying.

  What do I think?

  It's a tragedy.

  There's a lot of noise surrounding it and I kind of get it but at the same time I kind of don't.

  The occupants of the sub are people after all.

  Call me cynical, but I always feel these arguments, views or statements are a bit 'pantomime baddie'.

  You know, where the baddie is behind the goodie and the audience are saying, 'He's behind you!'

  Goodie: 'Oh, no he's not.'

  Audience: 'Oh, yes he is.'

  ...........and thus it could go on ad infinitum.

  One 'scholar' says, 'Oh no it isn't'

  Another, 'Oh yes it is.'

  In the end, doesn't it just come down to our confirmation bias, which one of these PAID writers we believe?

  That's why I never enter these debates.

  Anyway. I gotta go now because my ice cream is getting cold.

  Wasn't this what they tried with 'the Common Market' AKA European Union?

  I can see a limited happening but I'd be very surprised if they could subdue the Islamic parts of the world or even North Korea and China.

  I can't see it myself, but then I do not pretend to be infallible.

  That's a bold claim with no evidence given. Do the Mormons and Jobots use the same propaganda company for their utter nonsense?

  Hundreds of thousands of people are baptized every year. The Book of Mormon is being translated in many languages. Temples are being built throughout the world... No other organization can compare to it.

  Again, what's the proof?
