  Hello Longy. I have no dislike of Americans. I have American cousins. After the war the USA was gracious enough to give some of my relatives a new start. America sent us tractors for farming.

  I have an axe to grind with people that think that theirs is the best and only country. Those that think their cultural ways are universal and whose brains explode upon learning different.

  TBH, the UK is now a scum hole slum due to career politicians that sacrifice the nation on behalf of their own wealth. (Don't mention the Prime Minister or it's jail time right now in the UK. No free speech).

  Of the Americans I've met, they've all seemed fairly based. I've not really encountered that odd bunch who cannot see beyond Kansas.

  With this topic, I noted that the USA was in the mix when the USA didn't even exist in Bible times as such.

  PS. I we watched some American TV and I liked Spider-man comics over here.

  my pet peeve was the way the Watchtower foisted their propaganda on me growing up. There was no leeway for UK culture. We just had to understand phrases and spelling alien to us. IE. Hazing. Not a thing here. 'Hunker down' - a meaningless phrase here. 'Coworker'. I wondered how a person Orks Cows. Here it's Co-worker.

  I hate the WTBT$ for their cultural laziness. So, when I see it looks like it's happening again, I get a tad disgruntled.

  A nice exercise in pointlessness. And why does everything have to be America-centric? There are other countries in the world besides America. USA defaultism??

  From ''ever since'', certain Christian types have wanted their era to be relevant. They want messiah to come in their day. EG. 1914, 1975....you get the point?

  The Bible clearly states the no one knows the day or hour, so it's pointless bothering to make 'today' the day for the rapture, the return, or whatever you believe.

  .......and please.....stop thinking America is the only country in the world and everyone lives by it's rules. The USA isn't the hub you think it is. It's just another place on the globe, not the centre of it.
