  Hi Crossroads,

  I believe that like all things, a person has the right to make a decision regarding their own body.
  This includes Circumcision. If my son wishes to be circumsised he can do it when he is 18. I don't think he is planning on it.

  I have told him about maintaining cleanliness.

  As for perfection, I do not see circumsision as a pre-requisite for a male being "perfect".

  What is perfect anyway????

  i am working on refining the estimate of deaths related to the watchtower's blood policy, especially as they relate to children.. those of us who spent many years inside the wts can testify to the large percentage of jw children who are either disfellowshiped or simply walk away upon attaining adulthood.

  my guess.

  is that the number is approximately 50%.. we can come up with some pretty solid numbers regarding how many jw children die because of the blood policy.

  I also cannot answer your question but I would like to ask if in the USA they have the same policies as they do in the UK and Aust?

  In those two countries.....children as minors are considered as being under governmental protection, therefore no parent can refuse on behalf of their child for a blood transfusion to be administered.

  I have also been told by the neo-natal dept of a major hospital that many JW's DO have blood transfusions.........but in secret, and the doctors fully co-operate with this secrecy.

  Hi ISP,

  Thankyou for your post. I doubt that the WTBTS know what PTSD is.
  After I got out.....it was an ordeal I do not wish on anyone....I was diagnosed with PTSD and in was quite a few years of nightmares, flashbacks..ect....even now I can still have the occassional nightmare and wake up in a sweat.

  The mere idea of going into a KH will bring on acute anxiety...

  I just wanted to say thanks.....I will keep your post as I have a friend who is interested in this subject in regards to JW's.

  How Many Times Have You Been Baptized?

  hi gang,.

  i remember my baptism at the ripe old age of 13 at an assembly with the jw's.. i did it to shut everyone up and to please my parents.. after i ran away from the wtbts and home....it is like i went on a crusade of baptisms.. i was baptized as a mormon.....and then as a born again christian.......(prawn again christian).

  i think that eventually i gave up through being water logged...... but i am curious to know if any others around here have been so.....errr.....dumb?????.
