  anyone else watch chicago med last night??

  one of the writers had a bone to pick...made the dubs look like a cult.

  (not hard to do, i know) very realistic, and they got all the lingo right.

  Well, at least he took the "right" position to maintain the relationship with his parents. He can go back to drinking and drugging after they console him for the "evil" that was done to him.

  the so-called caliph, one of the most evil men in human history, has blown himself up along with three of his young children while being pursued by american special forces.. the ambition of isis was to expand the territory of the caliphate under the leadership of al-baghdadi to whom individual jihadists swear allegiance.

  now isis have nowhere to call home and no leader.

  what a pathetic bunch of losers.. they will of course appoint a new caliph and reprisal attacks will no doubt follow in western capitals by christmas but the more contemptible they appear they less likely it is that young men and women will join their delusional cause.. respect to the elite forces who hunted him down - those on the front line and the many intelligence specialists who made it possible.

  Cofty, I did read the OP. Do you mean that little "jab" didn't make it a little "political" from the get-go?

  And I agree that the Trump vs anti-Trump thing is out of control. Be thankful you're 3500 miles from it as it's even more "full time" and "prime time" here. Nothing else matters. We have no budget. No immigration reform. No healthcare reform (you DO NOT want to know what I pay for med ins), etc.The overpaid/underperforming politicians we have here would let the Republic burn to the ground rather than cooperate with the other Party and let them have any credit for success in helping the citizens. And of course, EVERYTHING comes to halt when it's time for re-election.
  

  But it sounds a lot like what you blokes are going through with Brexit and even immigration (too late for) reform.

  And everyone from those at the "helm of the ship" to the actual men/women (Special Ops) on the ground with the guns were from WHERE?

  With the kind of "politics" there was during the Carter administration, they proved this kind of covert operation would fail. Can you say "444 days of Hostages in Iran"? These hostages were released the exact minute that Ronald Reagan completed his inaugural address and ushered in a different kind of "politics". The running joke of the day was: "What is flat as a pancake but glows in the dark? Iran when Reagan is elected!"

  JAMES JACK: Totally relate to nearly everything you stated. With the 1975's all getting old (if not dead) you'ld think there would be a rebellion about failed false prophecy. I guess most of us who got disillusioned tended to "fade" away.

  I witnessed (haha) very little racism or bigotry between JWs of different races. However, I think there often was the same racism/bigotry towards non-JW's of different races. It was like THESE FOLKS were OK -- BECAUSE they were JW's. Being a JW it seems, made them different (OK) from the rest of persons of their race.

  It's a great "win" for Trump.

  To all the hoopla that he broke precedent by not informing the Dems -- it's nothing like the lack of precedence in the "impeachment" hearings. I think many Americans see this as the ultimate example of "playing politics" and so many of them are not smart enough to realize that that is what got Trump elected -- People are tired of the politics! Clearly Trump is NO politician.

  I recently visited Europe. Spoke to many folks, locals and fellow tourists. NOT ONE PERSON likes Trump

  No one I know from Europe liked George W. either.

  One said that they forgave us for electing him the first time, but re-electing him was the final straw.
