Is the WT right that the Lamb's marriage is after Armageddon?
by Kosonen inthe wt org claims that the lamb's marriage will happen after armageddon, despite the fact that revelation 19 very clearly says that the lamb's marriage happens after the destruction of babylon the great.
and that after the lamb's marriage he with heavenly armies will go to destroy the wicked.. the wt claims that the order of events in revelation 19 is not really in that order referring to psalm 45. but i can't find in psalm 45 any explicit contradiction to revelation 19. .

the former elder who was being interviewed mentioned a couple of things i noted.
i would like to know what your reactions were at the time you learned what i am going to relate if you had the same or kindred experience.

I've never heard that elders are angels statement.
Maybe you slept thru it. Those meetings were a snooze-fest.
Elders are also the "glorious ones". Best not speak poorly of the "glorious ones". That's grounds for DFing.

Upbringing

it wasn't until i was 50 that the scales fell from my eyes, i woke up, got da'd from the cult and my wife was advised to leave me by the elders whom i had served with on the boe.
one of which i know wanted to schtupf her.

Sounds about like our story (wife & me). Both born-ins. My father even took an early departure from the military (and the pension he would have gotten) because, well, you know.........Armageddon was "right around the corner" and he didn't want to be on the "wrong side". Mom is still in. Which is a good thing for her situation. Her friends are there.
As far as anger/resentment against my parents -- I can't say I have any. They were wanting to give their kids (me) what they felt was the best circumstances for the future. Sure they were misled and misguided, but can you hold them at fault? I was slow to awaken and I live in the age of the internet. They didn't have websites or CoC available at the click of a button. They only had crazyass apostates (Evil Slave, they were called then) marching around at conventions with placards. (You think everyone would have found better ways to help awaken others today.) They did they best they could with what information (or lack of it) available back then. (I do kind of resent whoever gave/sold great-grandpa the Studies in the Scriptures.)
OTOH, my wife's parents bailed after the failed 1975 prophecy. Yet, they supported/encouraged their kids who remained active JWs. Now THAT is pissy! Evidently (WT TM), they saw something long before we ever did. WTF didn't they share all that with their kids who assumed that they just didn't want to live the JW lifestyle (smoking, drinking, etc). Yes, she has some resentment when talking about that.
The greatest revenge is living a happy & successful life!

Letter to a JW

they have gotten these kind of letters over the years and they always give them to me and this time i got fed up and i wrote the guy back.
just wanted to post my reply letter in case anyone could use a chuckle on a sunday morning.

The timing of the strike in the early morning before start of business does not make it seem like maximum damage was the goal. If it would have occurred 2 hours later, casualties would have gone up 10-fold, or likely even more. Would said terrorists really have tried to limit loss of life?
I believe the truth of it all will be buried forever just like the Warren Commission.

I hope that she truly was the person that she is perceived to be, rather than the person she/they wanted us to see.
In the past, US presidents were stoic and all proper -- on the surface -- that was the person they wanted us to see. In reality, most were whoremongers, Nixon was a racist and out-cussed any "sailor". Well, what is there to say about Clinton that The Enquirer hasn't already said. The Bushes seemed to maintain the image. An insider said Barbara was a TRULY a wonderful lady. Obama cast the image (but we know he hid his smoking and possibly some other "interests".) And Trump, well I think it can be said that "What you see is what you get". (Like it or not.) Biden? Good candidate for an AARP commercial. And he does like to smell the hair of little girls. (But does he really know what he's doing?)
