How Do Jehovah's Witnesses View Education?
by southyukon ini have a question about this article.. https://www.jw.org/en/jehovahs-witnesses/faq/jw-education-school/.
higher education can lead to moral and spiritual dangers.
a bible proverb says: "the shrewd one sees the danger and conceals himself.

Do not forget that when GB is seeking lawyers or medical personnel, or even musicians for their musical recordings, they are only interested in those that have successfully finished many years of higher education. -

Did Geoffrey Jackson lie under oath at the ARC?
by Vanderhoven7 ini understand he intimated that the faithful slave was not the only spokesman for jehovah god.
he also intimated that corporal punishment was not advocated by the wts.
we're these lies or deception or did they represent the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth?.

This is a nothing burger.
During that same time period, school principals/teachers also used corporal punishment (paddling) as did most parents. Things change over time. (Enlightenment?) WT cannot be singled out on the issue. WT has changed their position as has all or most of society.

Since when do you need permission from anyone to arrange a camping trip with friends?
The issue is if you have "permission" from the Congregation then it is a "church" organized event and the church can be held liable for incidents that occur, ie, injuries, abuse, etc. This is why years ago the KM and WT letters instructed that NO such events were to be organized as a congregation event. No Cong picnics or parties or trips (even to Bethel). Any person organizing any such event was doing it "personally" and was "personally liable".

Depends if Watchtower gave them the OK,
Not a chance in the world that WT gave their blessing on a "congregation camping trip". They know that's a lawsuit waiting to happen even if it only means a youth gets injured by accident.

Vidiot posted my exact thought!!
Maybe didn't cross the line as "LYING" (Of course, in a JC they'd have said YOU were lying if you were so evasive.) But he was as slimy as it gets.

I'm thankful for the "worldly" friends we have developed since leaving. Sadly, the list is not very long. Perhaps as others have also discovered, making new friends just isn't that easy. It's something one takes for granted as a JW. EVERYONE is your buddy -- as long as you don't step out of the goose step cadence.
Alas, to all of our former friends we are dead -- or "dangerous" -- or deplorable.

I always thought if there had been come kind of conspiracy, it would have come out eventually. Someone would have leaked it. It's hard to keep anything secret if you don't kill everyone who knows the secret. And it used to be hard to believe that anyone would go that far. More and more it appears there was some kind of conspiracy. Unfortunately, with most anyone personally involved already dead, I'm sure we will find out what "they" want us to know. Would not surprise me to see it blamed on Jimmy Hoffa. <jk>

Loser is the best description right now. Dude is 45 trying to attract a 25 year old and failing hard.
Midlife crisis?
Maybe he should buy a sporty convertible!

The Blood Policy
by NotFormer ina couple of decades ago, any question of the wt dropping or changing the blood policy was met with something along the lines of "they're in too deep, they've killed too many people, the lawsuits would kill them; they can't change it".
a somewhat warped version of the "sunk costs fallacy".. they're already in very deep with the other rod for their own back, the csa payouts.
and some small changes have occurred in the way they handle csa cases.
-
DesirousOfChange
They already have revised their policy so that there will be no action against a JW that accepts blood as long as they are "repentant". Easy enough for any JW that wants to stay "in" to just say, "I'm sorry. I caved in. Forgive me!"

Someone (one of you APOSATES) must have sent them a New Release.
Surely AP doesn't bother to follow this small group of nobodies.
