Any JW, please help- I need just one thing!

--the name of a real live (not dead) member of the faithful and discreet slave class- someone who has admitted in public they are one of the f&ds and who can verify they have been providing the "meat in due season" for the governing body.

obviously the gb can't be the f&ds, because they are neither discreet nor do they have a position of servitude- no, they have made it plain they are the bosses over jws and jws have to obey their words, as if jehovah and jesus were speaking them, or else they will get the disfellowshiped.

just one verifiable name will do and how you obtained it.. the governing body claims that the f&ds are directing them and the worldwide work of jws, but they have never proven that they have a f&ds class they communicate with- just have one of the annointed call bethel and ask to speak to one of the gb and see what the switchboard operator does with their call.

This is indeed the current "light". This came about, I believe, as a result of the dramatic increase of "partakers" [the number is supposed to be going DOWN] who, besides having the "feeling" that they were "chosen ones", also had the delusional idea that they were being given "special insight" via Holy Spirit as "food at the proper time".

Guess the GB squashed THAT idea! If you ain't one of the eight (or so) sitting around the table on Wednesday mornings in NY, you don't really count.

Advice needed about my study with a JW.

i've never been a jw, and i'm having a difficult time trying to understand the perspective of a born-in jw.

i want to ask questions that will cause this family member to began to think outside the box, but i don't want to trip off any apostate alarms and have him put his guard up.

i also don't want to waste time and energy asking questions that he can easily brush off and give the prepackaged watchtower answer without having to really think.

The primary doctrine that keeps them trapped is that Jesus selected them, in 1919, to be God's sole channel in our day. Don't put that to him. Just ask questions that get him to state all of those elements. Then ask how he knows this happened in 1919.

I seriously doubt if the average JDub knows the whole schpiel verbatim. You would have draw it out, perhaps with a conversation such as:

"Why JWs instead of just any Christian religion? Don't they all lead to the same place?"

"JWs are the sole channel God uses today, just as in the past, the Bible record shows God only used one channel at any given time through history, Noah, Moses, Nation of Israel, Christian Cong.......then the foretold apostasy set in, wheat mixed in with weeds (true Christianity in with Christendom), until the onset of the "last days" when JC arrived and selected out JWs [actually Russell & Bible Students]......"

If you asked WHEN specifically............I bet you would get a variety of answers from different JDubs -- blank stares; 1914; 1918;........then maybe 1919. Ask for written statement from WT publications for this evidence, probably with quote of Matt 24:45.

NOW, SOMEONE ELSE WANT TO TAKE IT FROM HERE. WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE THEM DO WITH 1919?

How do I help my best friend who just told me he is gay?

a little background for you.... my best friend (a 44 year old baptised jw with a wife & 2 preteen boys) told me a few days ago that he is gay.

to me, not a big deal as i am also.

but, he is so tormented by this with regard to his relationship with god.

i'm an active jehovah's witness.

i've obviously lost my faith, that's why i don't feel bad posting here anymore.

i'd probably be disfellowshipped as a division causing, teaching, apostate, faster than you can say "maher-shalal-hash-baz" (isaiah 8:1), should it be found out that i was posting here and did not repent of the things i've said and stop participating in this forum.

The internet is FEARED by the Governing Body,

That's because they've experienced nothing but problems from it.

1) PORN -- Porn is so prevalent that they had to change the rules about porn. When MS & elders & HAD TO BE REMOVED for watching porn, they were dropping like flies! There would soon be no one to take charge in the congos but old men who were long past that desire. (Maybe dead men?)

2) APOSTATES -- This should have been headlined as LIES & CHANGES, because that's what the problem really is. Apostates couldn't cause problems with the lies and changes if they did not really exist. For every "positive", upbuilding JW blurb on the internet, there are 1,000 which expose the WTS for the past ignorant &/or devious prophecies, statements, rules, lies, and changes.

Just those two things far outweigh the benefit the average JW or potential JW gets from Mapquest or email (as far as WTS is concerned). It is a HUGE delima for them. To open it up to serious debate? They would lose. Hands down. No contest.

Why would local congregations keep your name on file in TMS if you haven't attended in yrs?

i am a new member to this forum, but i have visited for years.

i am curious to know why my name would remain as an active member, even though i haven't attended services for the past (i guess) 4 years or longer.

i am still in contact with a few members off and on, but i am really focusing on pursuing interest that i've put off for a long time (attending college).

It used to be that Publishers Record Cards were only to be kept on file for 8 years. Thus, once there were no longer PRCs on file, you were truly "man of the nations" vs. inactive JW. I've recently been told that they keep them indefinitely. Anyone confirm?

I am Totally Back Now

two weeks ago i let everybody know we made it safe to our new home.

what i did not tell you the move was very hard on me.

i ended up straining my right shoulder so bad i could not even keep my arm up on the key board to type.

Yeah I don't really get this one. Every JW I know has been to a ball game and/or a concert.

They're just hard to recognize as they just dress quite differently. Bumped into a JW couple at a concert, and WOW! Leather skirt up to here, neckline down to there with cleavage boobies to knock your eyes out.

(And that was just the brother.)

i was born a jw, till now I'm still strong in my faith,

happily we are 10 children mom and dad make it 12 now we have 3 elders

and all my family are still saving Jehovah happily.

believe it or not the joy you find in serving Jehovah is something you cant find anywhere ears .

no one is deprive or deprived not to have friends or be like a young boy or girl

if you follow bible principal you will kn that everything writhing there is for our benefit,

such as respect your father and mother it benefit you if you follow that instruction so also

if you respect your creator it benefit you not your God,

though it makes your God Jehovah happy to see you are a good child.

jw or not i never see any man who tell his kids to keep following bad gangs or bad friends.

for me though I'm not the most obedient son ,when i was young i use to ask why is my father so careful about were we go and who we make friends with,

but happily i was wise enough to read my bible personal and see that bad association spoil a useful rabid.my advice for children is keep studding the bible to see why your parent ask you to chose your friends wisely.

IS THIS A FREAKING JOKE ABOUT HOW UN-EDUCATED JWs ARE???? Or just a JDub who was home "schooled"?(NOT)

i'm still a semi member of the kh but not at all active and have major doubts when i started reading all kinds of opposing literature.

talked to elders about this and also my father but my father but he still believes it's the "truth".

anyways jist of this story is i gave my father a copy of "crisis of conscience".
