2024 Annual Meeting Doctrinal Change
by Listener ina change to their doctrine came from jackson.
this isn't a transcript of his whole speech but i thought i would try and get some of his main speech in writing.. at around 1hr26 minutes he starts talking about some dangerous thinking in feeling there is some wiggle room in regards to the schedule for the gt.
but you see, we need to be careful about what we are thinking about the number of anointed ones left on earth.

AGREE WITH Mikejw.
Absolutely amazing that the sisters haven't let anything slip via the JW Gossip Network.

How Do JWs Understand Salvation & What Is Needed to Obtain It?
by LauraLynn infrom my experience within the jw organization, i understood that salvation meant a person accepted the teachings of the wbts without question as the "faithful and discrete slave," thereby placing their trust in them, not jesus christ.
salvation consisted of being found "righteous" by jehovah and resurrected to everlasting life in an earthly paradise.
to obtain this salvation, one needed to obey the organization's teachings, remain a faithful jw, and lead a moral life.

The average JW DOES NOT understand salvation and what is needed nor do they have any concept of how it works according to WT doctrine. JW'S DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY BELIEVE!
At best the average JW just knows if they obey the "direction from
Jehover" the Governing Body, they will prance right into Panda Petting Paradise -- very very soon. Yes, they are "special". They have been SELECTED -- hand picked via the Holy Spirit because Jehover himself sees they are "special".Let's review: It's a Cult!

WT HQ is never proactive, they are reactive to everything put out showing their blatant hypocrisy and abject stupidity
by WingCommander ina few on here (and of course many on the ex-jw reddit forum) have mentioned that wt hq just recently (like in the past couple months) put out a video warning against the praising of jw actors, taking photos with them, etc.
to not do it anymore.
it was narrated by geoffrey jackson.

So it seems the exjw community is setting policy for the governing body
I think that has been happening for years. We all know that there was a brain-drain at WT. Anyone with any intelligence and good sense left and is now here. Frequently, the former JWs pontificate here about the incoherent New Light Truths and offer better/smarter (maybe even more scriptural) corrections/suggestions. Often, ex-JWs here expound on what issues forced their decision to no longer support the JW religion.
A few months pass, and VOILA!, announcements are read or reports are received that New Light has indeed shown brightly on those very subjects spoken about here. Yes! these ideas had already been "tested" by 100s or even 1000s of comments from this and other sources, i.e., Reddit, and deemed to be BETTER than the WT Writing Dept had dreamed up.
I do believe that Ex-JWs (even apostates) are inadvertently conjuring up and field testing what becomes doctrine & policy for the religion. Not surprising since the smarter JWs have all moved on and WT lacks the creative staff to come up with anything better than "Overlapping" doctrines.

How are new Servants and Elders appointed?
by no-zombie innow that we have the tick-a-box field service reporting method, how are brothers measured fit for an appointment as a ms or elder?
has there been clarification in any of the recent elders schools or in meetings with the co?.

1925--2025... 100 years since Rutherford promised paradise earth.
by Witness 007 inrutherford wrote in 1925 "millions now living will never die"...they died.
he also promised that moses and david and all the old bible heroes would live with him in his mansion.
only he lived there till he died in 1942...100 years and not much changed..

Jesus said, “I am coming quickly!”
As a young guy, I should have been required to issue such a warning.

I also wonder if any of you other old codgers and ladies, have old memories and people you had in your life keep invading your daily thoughts.
There is definitely a feeling of nostalgia when I think of old memories with old friends (with whom I have lost all contact). Some are the old girlfriends who came & went before meeting my wife. All were mostly JWs too, so it's not like recalling old sexual romps or such. Just those who came and went. I wonder if they ever imagine how things would be if our relationship had flourished. I don't regret that any of them are "past" relationships. No fantasizing about anyone who "got away".
Sometimes I reflect back on the JWs who were significant in my life - especially those that were instrumental in my commitment and advancement in the religion - though most of them are dead. I wonder if any of them had doubts or were even awakened to TTATT. Likely not. I think a person gets to a certain age, or point in life, that it's "too late" to leave the network one has in the Cult. Or, at least it's too difficult to do a "180" in life and just up and leave everyone and everything. (It's kind of like deciding to divorce after decades being married. The pain would not be worth the gain.)
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
2025 means Armageddon is about 50 years late!
