I think their reasoning is sound look at this way. Lack of education = someone who is easily intimidated by others who have an education, in this case what could be higher than an education from God. Victim, signed sealed & delivered in to the borg. Cruel, but clever. It was easy a few decades ago cause every one (almost) believed in a God so it was just a question of proving the clergy wrong (not hard), that's not the way of it today why the hell would they want educated people who will ask questions that they cant answer, it would show them up & people will stop giving them money. There is the reason they don't want the next generation to get knowledge outside of them cause they will lose control (power) & as a consequence money (power). They have really thought this through. Give them credit where it`s due.

I never realized how boring I was.
by John Aquila inas a true believer in the watchtower, i never knew how truly boring i was until being out for a couple of years and then sitting down with a group of jws and having a conversation..
thats what happened this morning.
i decided to go have breakfast at mcdonalds and a group of jws who were out in service and know me also stopped for breakfast and sat down with me and we talked for about an hour.

John Aquila, boring isn't a word that comes to mind when I read your comments. Yes you very well may have talked constantly about the kingdom but I think people who have a good sense of humour are that way wether they are JDub`s or no. I do agree that it is quite a shock when you listen to them & it`s the only thing they can talk about. Why is that do you suppose? -

Extreme emotions re today's watchtower
by Tornintwo ini was supposed to attend the meeting today, one of my once a month duties for the sake of my family and my fade.
i read the wt and i just can't stomach going.... what this wt does is again and again reiterate that only jws will survive the coming destruction and that they should be happy about this and raise ourselves erect...eg:.
we cannot expect that many people will suddenly convert to true christianity.

Tornintwo, I understand what your saying, I cant even read the crap anymore. That's the problem or joy of knowing ttatt. I feel that they insult Jesus sacrifice it can only cover the ones they say it covers. It`s a kinda grief that we go through, a disbelief almost. Pulls at the heart though don't it. Dont feel bad, shows that you got a heart. -

The Spiritual Man According to WTBTS
by zophar inwho is a spiritual man according to wtbts?.
this post will resonate most with people who have been long associated with jws and have seen a dramatic change in the spirituality of traveling overseers over the years..
how does a man get appointed as a circuit overseer?

The Apostle Paul & John wouldn't qualify cause they would kick their asses when it came to the child abuse issues, shepherding those in need, shunning, baptising children, lying, twisting scripture, Hording millions of dollars for themselves while some of their members are living in poverty & a whole host of other things. -

not going to school
by Sabin ini don't know if it is the same where you are but where i live it is a common practise of jdub`s to withdraw their kid`s from school at about year 8 even younger in some cases.
they say they are being home schooled & of cause they do cover a certain amount of school topics.
don't get me wrong i`m not saying that it is wrong to home school a youngster, especially if they are being bullied or suffering in some way, but the jdub`s don't do it for this purpose, oh no their kid`s are out on the field service during what would be school hours.

I`m not talking here of a couple of kid`s I`m talking a mass. For those that do manage to stay they never go past year 10, I know of only 2. One was my own kid the other an elders daughter that did go on to uni. We have many congs here some have upward of 20 youngsters in them, it is so sad & I personally find it disgraceful, Is it the same where you are? -

Conditioned to fail
by Jordandemm injust want to say hi and a big thank you to all that post in this site.

Hello Jorden it`s nice to meet you. I was reading your post & I had this thought, (please correct me if I`m not making any sense) we have all had to overcome this problem in our lives at some stage, when we move schools/ jobs/house/town/state/country/even congs. & we do it don't we because we accept it as a normal part of life. So why so hard when it comes to leaving the BORG? maybe it`s because we have been indoctrinated that it`s not normal to change our minds, that the people on the outside are some how not like us & so we are afraid, we have spent so long rejecting them that now maybe they will return the favour. We have spent years being watched & judged for every thing we say & do. We end up with that same scary feeling we got our first day at high school, everyone can relate to that but we conquered & survived for some it was harder than for others but we did it. So you could try viewing it this way that its a move to a different place or house, you did it before you can do it again. Just a different way of looking at it so you don't feel so overwhelmed. Hope it helps. SABIN. P.S we will be your friends.

looking for a thread about 1006= elders knew=.......
by carla ini have been searching the better part of this morning to find the thread in which somebody commented on 1006 known pedophiles which equals 3 elders at each jc and the totals on how many elders did not report to police (3000?
) and also how many known victims in australia.
i think they also broke it down to how many victims that would average each week/month for the last 60 + years.

mad irish man your point is a good one, it`s also interesting that the priest was found to have raped 400 boys in his career. It gives a little insight to the lengths these sick bastards will go to. So when you think these are the same type of characters in the borg it makes you realise that the numbers of children we are talking about will be huge. One ex-elder I know of from Sydney, so far 17 girls have come forward but their will be many who wont. & yes while it was a taboo subject doesn't the Borg pride itself on being so much more advanced in this field than everyone else. So please some-one explain to me where they have an excuse, they by their own admission should have been the first to be on top of the situation. I cant help but feel that God would be as disgusted with them as he was the Pharisees. You know when you watch the R.C. interview with Geoff wanker Jackson, he looks amused by the whole thing. I think they have legally covered their arses, twisted the scriptures to suit their own ends & are actually laughing at the R.C. & mocking the victims. They are as guilty as the pedo`s, period. -

Why won't they simply change policy on sex offenders? Will they?
by punkofnice inwhy won't they (the wbt$ head honchos), simply change policy on sex offenders?
will they?..especially after the arc for eg?
it seems that with all the bad press and now the arc among other institutions that are exposing the wbt$ for a haven for paedophiles, why hasn't the wbt$ simply changed it's insane policy?.

Anyone read Paul Babiak & Robert d. Hare`s book, SNAKES IN SUITS when psychopaths go to work? fully recommend it. -

Superficial charm, insincerity, egocentricity, manipulativeness, grandiosity, lack of empathy, exploitativeness, independence, rigidity, stubbornness, & dictatorial tendencies. Thats why they will do what ever it takes to get out of it, cause nobody tell`s them what to do, right. Got ask yourself what the hell their hiding, cause they are hiding something that's for sure nothing adds up. -
