  first of all, i found this webpage, which is full of charts on jw statistics very interesting:.

  I have reviewed these stats before, and my conclusion is that they are only growing in underdeveloped countries. Let's take the numbers a little farther. When Rutherford predicted the end of the world in 1925, it took a full ten years to get their numbers back, to where they were in 1925. Their growth rate hit their peak in the 1940's. They were proud to say that they were the fastest growing religion. Since then, it has been a downward slope. The year, 1975, was a brief interuption in the trend, but it did not really change anything.

  One other thing, the annointed used to be calle the remnant, the very last ot the 144 thousand. Now we are getting very late in the game and yet the number of those of the annointed has not changed in the last ten years. What is going on here???? Where many of the annointed, bad people, and had to be replaced by younger people??? I hope a Bethel monitor reads this, before they change his shift, and put him back to scrubbing floors.

  Doubtfully Yours, both the term the "truth" and the term "the organization" bother me. First of all, there all kinds of truth, as found in chemistry, phsyics, biology, etc. They do not have a monopoly on truth, by any means. Their Awake! magazine is a poor excuse in representing these truths. The term, "the organization" should be used by the Mafia. Well, I guess they are somewhat similiar to the Mafia.

A servant serves others. An overseer is more like a factory foreman that keeps people in line. .... Yes indeed, words do make a difference, and it is an indication as to how things change over time.

  Dan, I read Thirty Years a Watchtower Slave, by Schell, when I was a Witness. Several of us did. We discounted the book, because there was a lot of hate in it. I have reread it since, and find a lot of good material there.

  Farkel is a fine feathered friend of mine. Friday, we are going to Friday's to eat French fried fish and french fries, followed up with French vanilla ice cream with fudge. Yes, indeed it will be a fine time for Farkel and Flarc.

  should crisis of conscience be on the net?

  got to be honest an say i'm supprissed cofc is not on the net in some offical form.

  any good reason why its not there?

  lets think, if i was a executive in a pharmaceutical company that gave out drug that were harmful, i then realised the drugs were bad, but the rest of the exectives didn't want to know and chucked you out,you lost your money and pension but you had the infomation to help people who had taken the bad drugs , would you, .

  a problem common among jehovah's witnesses is the feeling that they are not going to make it to live past armageddon.

  even though they keep a rigorous schedule of activities designed to earn them a righteous standing with jehovah, the witnesses themselves are keenly aware that they fall far short of the perfect standard set by god.. why do so many jehovah's witnesses consider suicide at one time or another?

  I don't think I can add anything new here. I will just express it in a different way. First off, you are taught to do MORE, MORE, MORE. You can never do enough. How does that make you feel? Two feet lower than whale poop. Well, when you believe that you can not do enough to survive the big A, what are your options? I would say that it is suicide. You are going to fall asleep in death and that is it. No hell fire, so go for it.
