Do you have Watchtower Library CD-ROM? It can be downloaded from internet as ISO file, at Mega.co.nz .
Pioneer manual PDF is at Sendspace.
Here's one sample presentation from KM last year (The one about starting bible studies).
i don't post here much anymore, but i am working on a project with a few academics from my area who are in the psychology field.
we are looking for printed evidence in their literature that jehovah's witnesses train their publishers/pioneers to target people who are suceptible to being recruited - i.e.
people who have experienced a loss, or who are emotionally vulnerable.

hello all, as you know, when jw tv was announced, our board went wild.
many comments, much speculation and alot of negative feedback on the quality, etc.
well, what has me concerned is that i have not heard a peep from any of my connections left in kingdom-land.
@BU2B: Sent you a PM

@BU2B: I know! There is still hope for my wife! She is seen by the congregation as a super pioneer though, and it is because she is actually very good at it, and it is something she really loves, unfortunately. But sometimes she IS able to think on her own - even critically about the WT - but then she usually relapses back into increased activity, study etc. She's not there yet, but maybe someday she will be. I won't rat her out to elders about GoT though :)
@DOC: Maybe it's bit too early to say what the general consensus will be, it was just announced and it's all in english, probably many haven't watched it yet. You are right, it's pretty well done now that I watched it a bit. But I still think watching Lett and his gold rings will make european witnesses cringe, at least subconcisously. But JWs won't say anything negative about "Dubflix" publicly of course.

A letter about tv.jw.org was read in our congo (well, I read it). Obligatory clapping. After the meeting NOTHING. Not one word from anybody, and I was like the last ones to leave.
My elder dad's first reaction was: "So, we have our own teleevangelists now, then?". We are in europe, and people here see TV preachers as something of an example of American commercialization of religion. I thing most dubs are very embarrassed about JWtv, as they should be!
My super pioneer wife has not even once opened JWtv. But, we have watched every episode of The Walking Dead, and she is asking every week when Game of Thrones is starting again :) Maybe GB should learn something from this, how to make interesting TV!
unless you are willing to have all your movements tracked on the internet and your files opened to the watchtower, don't sign in.
here's what will happen:.
to install the app - you will give the jw-app access to:.
I noticed that too. Didn't install yet.
Why on earth would a language learning app need to know what websites I visited last?
Do we have any Android hackers here? Is it possible to somehow run an app in a sandbox to check exactly what information it accesses and sends over the internet?
here is the link: http://seattledelegates.org/.
i would guess this is the wave of the future.
a secondary channel of business revenue for the wts - compensation for recommending restaurants, tours, etc.
One more, Indianapolis International Convention:
The delegates get this information via email.
so as i have told everyone here, i am well along in my fade, and know ttatt.
i have even been pursued by the elders and interrogated re my "seemingly loss of spirituality and activity etc..." even though i am still an ms.. but cop this!...
i have been asked to join in the exclusive literature cart witnessing activity!
Or maybe it's just getting difficult to find somebody to stand there looking like an idiot for 2 hours so they're starting to ask ANYBODY to volunteer...

That Helsinki Times link posted by stuckinamovement is a translation of the first page of a "long read" type feature article published this weekend in the monthly supplement of the main finnish newspaper, Helsigin Sanomat. Here is a link to the full article, in finnish:
http://www.hs.fi/kuukausiliite/Jehova+rankaisee+omiaan/a1398998349032
As i said it's in finnish but you could use Google Translate to get the gist of it. It was prominently featured in the weekend as the main article on their website, www.hs.fi. It's an interesting article, it contains enough factual background information about the 1914 fiasco, Russell, Rutherford, JW's lying about shunning in public whilst encouraging it, judicial committees, etc to keep it interesting but not to bore readers with unnecessary details. And it mentions by address all the main Finnish language apostate websites. It is the same, if The New York Times Magazine mentioned www.jehovahs-witness.net and jwfacts.com in an article.
I brought this article up with some friends as soon as it came up, the feeling is that nobody really cares. They just shrug it off as apostate propaganda.
Another possibly negative thing is that the Minister of Interior Affairs ("Home Secretary") and the Justice Minister both made comments that if somebody feels they have been wronged by JWs they should make a report to the Police so that the authorities could investigate the matter properly. The interior minister belongs to the Christian Democratic Party. I can already hear JW's crying "religious persecution"... anyway, here are links to what they said:
I don't know how to make direct links to google translations, maybe somebody else can do that.
has anyone heard about "couples school" at their local kh?
is that like marriage counseling?
my elder cousin was apparently teaching it?.
Look up "BSCC" on this site, short for "Bible School for Christian Couples". It's not marriage counselling, it's WT brainwashing course for couples wanting to reach out. Sort of Gilead lite for those who always dreamed of going to Gilead but never made it. Also with the difference that afterwards, you should be ready and willing to be sent somewhere - on your own expense... unless if you're sent there as a Special Pioneer. Most are not assigned as Special Pioneers but they keep that possibility as an incentive to lure couples in.
let me add that it's amusing now...as so many things are in hindsight...but at the time it was really stressful.
almost terrifying.. see, i was in my mid 30's and an elder.
i was born-in, from one of those families with a long, decorated history in the thing.
Thank you for the kind words Giordano and Unlearn, and hello everybody!
I have been lurking here for several years on and off, and I'm still studying and learning more every day. The people on this site are fantastic. I will make a proper introduction post some day.
