  A question for you.

  You say that you are not on the way out of the Org.

  How do you think Jehovah views the Jehovahs Witness GOVERNING BODY?
  
  They have gotten soooo many things WRONG. My own personal view is that Jehovah will hold them accountable for using HIS name in relation to such FALSE prophesying. They DID prophecy….and got it very wrong.

  I feel that Jehovah is MOST angry at their presumptuousness. I’m sure that you are aware of examples in the scriptures where Jehovah show’s just how he feel about ones who are PRESUMPTUOUS.

  I, personally cannot reconcile being part of an Org. that has done BIG style, some of the very things that Jehovah clearly warns against.

  I’m sorry if this is way off topic, can ignore my post if you like/do not have time to answer. Perhaps I’ve given you something to think about.

  one newly appointed elder said: "i never realised how much work and pressure i would be under.".

  elders are pressured from the society who use the medium of the co visit as well as letters from the branch office.

  this pressure may even be termed pressurising.

  Yes, the presssure is on. I can see it in my friend who is a PO..... so little time to do anything for ones self and family. It is very much an abuse of peoples good nature.....well, in the case of my friend it is.

  hey all,.

  i don't know if my karma is screwed up or what, because today just has not been my day.

  first i got up this morning, logged on the board and the first post i read was that drivel from you know or who knows or whatever his/her name is.

  Where I live the policy was to leave alone doors that had similar stickers to the one JanH was showing. A sticker is pretty effective I think, as many a time I would accidently knock on a do-not-call and pray like mad that they would not answer!!

  Me too! Even now I would love to meet and go shopping with a friend, where you could just chat and chat, about everything and anything…..so therapeutic don’t you think? Fortunately,I have a sister (fleshly) that I have re-kindled relationship with since leaving (she’s not a JW pheww!) Had a wonderful shopping trip in the sales recently

  ****I longed to go shopping and for lunch sometimes with another sister, for once in a blue moon, but OUR TIME would be put to better use in service. I would have liked company to go to the gym for moral support but bodily training is beneficial for little.****

  My still JW friend is always tired, and never does anything for herself. She is a lovely person, very selfless. But I can’t help thinking that it is a shame that she make no time for her herself.

  What a pretty summer so far!

  i don't know how the weather is everywhere else, but here in dixie, it's been the first bearable summer in as long as i can remember.. it seems as though mother nature took a rest this year, worn out from her years of relentlessly bombarding us with intense heat.

  for so long, it seemed as though the spring and summer months, even october, would bring an onslaught of 100+ degree temperatures with record high humidity and only enough rain to turn our evenings into saunas.. then this year came.

  so far, the temperature has topped out in the very low 90's and the humidity just hasn't had the enthusiasm of years past.

  There again....perhaps sipping a cocktail whilst on the internet, would suit him rather well!
