  Why is the Society in England so scared of The Data Protection Act.

  the ibsa seems terrifed of this law and all that relates to it.. i have heard that if a subject access request is sent they have a "poop" moment and do all they can to destroy anything.. maybe blondie can shed some light on this as i have heard that they destroyed everything and that when asked they will use every tactic to hide what they can and even tell elders to ignore requests.. i am not sure what they most recent directive is on this in the uk but it seems they are terrified of being caught on this.. .

  as a bible based organization, how do feel jehovah's organization should be reformed?

  the answer is quite simple in christendoms churches:.

  i was just perusing the latest watchtower (available here) and noticed something that made me chuckle a little.

  in one of the first articles talking about what children should learn, they quote exodus 22:22-24:.

  what the bible teaches: you people must not affliict any... fatherless boy.

  Help me ID the Logical Fallacy, Please!

  spoke to a friend of mrs. - a fairly involved sister - and asked the question:.

  "circa 1850, small town usa, i am somewhat of a sinner - no murderer or anything, but could live a more productive life - one day i have a vision that my ways are wrong and the only way to redeem myself is to serve the only true god.. which organization do i join, which bible do i read and who provides my timely spiritual food?.

  her answer - "well we can't be sure, but we shouldn't doubt jehovah had provided for the faithful christians through his holy spirit".. this seems like two fallacies into one answer - it looks like a red herring, because she sidestepped the issue, and it also looks like a straw man, because i didn't doubt jehovah, i doubted the wt's "always had an org" story.. so is it a red herring, straw man or maybe red man or straw herring, since it's a combo.

  However, even if the elders cannot take congregational action, they are expected to report the allegation to the branch office of Jehovah's Witnesses in their country, iflocal privacy laws permit.

  Well, maybe reform can begin here. Rank and file witnesses are expected to sacrifice their life and freedom to uphold WT standards, BUT Watchtower only need act if local privacy laws permit.

  Perhaps the leaders should suffer the same consequences as they expect the average JW to suffer.

  I have just left my parents home and the JW's about six months ago and have found it hard to get over.

  i finally desided to leave the witnesses therefore my family and basicly everyone and everything i had ever known.

  i was 19 about to be 20 and i had just finished my first semester at a community college.

  i was shocked at the respons of my father and others about me attending college at first they were ok but behind my back they were pretty much betting on my failier.
