Interesting question! Biblically, Jehovah held Moses and David responsible for mistakes, but WT always deflects the blame to the followers. Guess they are better than Moses and David. Very interesting point!

I was not raised as a Witness, but country music reigned in my house. I remember being embarrassed to tell my mother I was a rock fan, but once I did, she started helping me buy music. One of my first albums was the double album set by the Beatles 70-72 or something like that. I would lock myself in my room for hours and play those 2 albums on my rinky dink turn table for hours. My heart still flutters when I hear Strawberry Fields start playing. Early teen years are tough, and that music helped me through. Of course, the Beatles were simply the gateway drug, and soon I was addicted to Queen and Zeppelin and Frampton. My brothers and I would have wars where they blasted KISS, and I blasted Frampton (who I intended to marry). It was only after we became adults that we admitted to each other that we had always really like the "enemy" bands.

All this talk reminded me of something. My best friend in high school, before the JW years, kept getting sucked into this uber conservative church. I would know it because she would wash off her makeup, put away her jewelry, stop cutting her hair and start wearing dresses. I would rub my hands in anticipation because I knew the music purge was coming. I'd relieve her of all her Black Sabbath, Nazareth, Led Zeppelin. Eagles, whatever. My music collection grew and grew because she always had more money than me. THEN she would wake up again and speak longingly of her lost music. I'd get a horrified look on my face like she wanted to take away MY music.
Interestingly, she became JW and I followed. Then she became an APOSTATE, and after 30 years of friendship I shunned her, (yes, I'm ashamed). Well now look at me! We reconnected and talk every day. It occurs to me that it is possible I've never had one original idea!

hmmm Rebel. I am so very confused now. ? If everyone in false religion is really worshipping SATAN then... No wait, I mean, if the DEMONS and SATAN are behind all religions not JW and God doesn't hear their prayers . . . OUCH, let me try this again. Okay, all religions outside of WT are false religions set up by the Devil and demons but only CERTAIN ones are honored with their presence! Yes, that is it.
Damn Rebel, now I gotta dig my turntable out of the attic and spin my Black Sabbath records backward and see if they can explain. Thanks!

Atheist think their so damn intelligent. God revealed himself in the old testament, the hebrews still didnt believe.
by Joliette inmy jw's mom said this to me in convo/argument two weeks...she said that atheist have no grounds for their thinking, and they basically talk out of their asses.
she also said that the government has rules that everyone follows and thats the same ways applies to god's true servants, and that we simple have rules, no if and's and but's.. she also said that jehovah can change science, and that god is one in control of the science..

Just found out a Witness works with me-ruined my day
by Quandry ini work in an elementary school as a very low paid teacher's aide.
of course, most of the staff are teachers who are paid three times my salary and have at least a college degree, many with a master's.
every day i have to face the fact that i followed the "godly wisdom" from the gb and didn't get higher education (except the degree equivalent from reading all the wts and awakes-i haven't gone to personnell to see how that would work out).. this morning, a fellow aide that i rarely see was coming in the door at the same time i was.

That was GREAT Charlie Brown. I've been a Zeppelin fan since the seventies--I was never able to give them up even for the WT. BTW, I met a Zeppelin member--but don't want to give too many details as this could identify me! LOL, I always found ways to meet the big guys.
