That's true. When I was a teenager my best friend kept getting seduced by this church and would only wear skirts, stop cutting her hair, no makeup, no jewelry. Then she'd wake up and clean up, then it would start all over again. I remember a life story in an Awake of a woman who used to be Amish, and she found JW dress too immodest.

well here we have kids and old age pensioners living below the poverty line, and the prime minister promises 1.4 billion to overseas aid for jabs... the uk is a dumping ground for immigrants, and they all get houses and cars payed for by the tax payer.

1. congregational elders trying to get grip on non regular publishers and inactive witnesses.. 2. the good ones read in the watchtower that apostates are to find in the local congregation.

Because I write, I became familiar with copyright laws here in the US. You can pay to have an official copyright registered with the government. However, it is not necessasry. The law in the US is that once you put your ideas into tangible form, (writing, music, artwork) the copyright belongs to you. Same laws apply to it. Having an official copyright offers an additional layer of protection, but as soon as I write something and can prove I did, I get the same protection. That said, this post is now copyrighted and belongs to me.

They announce it, but they don't call it step down, I think they use the term "stepped aside" instead. So as not to give the impression the elders are elevated. I think when it comes to MS, they announce that they have been deleted. Which is a truly funny underused use of the delete button.
