the wt study was always my favorite meeting as i could sit back and soak up all the unintelligent comments made by high school dropout pioneers or home learned children.

But seriously--it doesn't matter. The connotations those words conjure up in the mind of a dub are not the same as the general population would understand.
One thing I noticed when I started studying was they said John the Baptizer---I was used to hearing John the Baptist. Not wrong exactly, but they probably didn't like the connection to CHRISTENDOM.

of course, i would be very surprised if the watchtower society ever retracted or apologised for anything.
still, it could gain a lot of publicity and put pressure on them to curb their hate speech.
if they refuse to apologise, it could demonstrate that those statements were intentional and not just a slip of the printing press.
I say leave it as it is---let the world see the true teaching. Even if they whitewashed and watered down the language--the idea would still be taught. I don't want to give them plausible deniabilty.

i have been inspired recently by some of the comments on this forum regarding the society having reached a "tipping point".
it's been observed that, despite the overwhelming weight of evidence that the society is nothing more than a damaging cult, the number of witnesses continues to increase, albeit gradually.
the latest figures i have available are those in the 2011 yearbook, showing a global 2.5% increase between 2009 and 2010.. as we all know, the internet is steadily rising in accessibility (or "penetration") around the world, and it provides a wonderful resource for those who are curious about joining the faith, helping such ones to quickly identify precisely how warped the teachings of the watch tower society really are.
Damn Cedars! The internet is NOT the WT nemesis! YOU are. Is there any end to your energy and creativity?

I was pushy, but not disrespectful. I really believed I had a precious truth that everyone could benefit from, and did my best to help them see it. LOL I was quite dangerous.

since leaving the organization 8 years ago, there have been more significant changes in the actual, physical activities of the organization than occurred in all the 40 plus years i was 'in'.

I don't expect a spectacular implosion. Instead there is an erosion that starts at the edges and works inward. The core may always stand firm, but the supporting fringes will dissipate.
