Precisely. And having documentation via CoC, or other publications and books, even their own, will prove especially useful. Though I have no doubt that even with a CLEAR misrepresentation of the past, most people who see that will look over it and view it as non-important...human fallicy.

I personally can't wait for this "feature". Having already done extensive research into JW's history, it may prove to be a useful tool in showing others the phony version of history as they presented.

Is there really any difference between disfellowshipping and disassociation?
by iamwhoiam inyou would think being disfellowshipped is like being fired from a job and being dissassociated is like quitting a job...is this the correct understanding?.
as much as i have been searching for the answer to this question in the later articles, i can't really find a concrete answer.
but being an ms and raised in "the truth", i was always brought up to feel like if someone disassociates themself, they are automatically labeled an apostate.

What astounds me is how appointment is supposedly led by Jah. That those appointed to positions are a result of Jehovah's blessing. He "sees somthing in you". How is that possible that those who are "apostates" are appointed to these postions? Its obvious that the brothers dont know this, but surely God knows this. Apostacy is among the top of the list of "crimes" that can be "commited". There is no reason Jah would select one is His supposed organization. I guaruntee that if I put in a couple more hours in service and comment a little more, I could easily become a MS. But everytime im being considered i do nothing so as to drive them away from choosing me.
I'm in a similar situation as you. Though I'm only 20 so I have more time I suppose. It's hard when you have nothing else to go to so your forced to stay in and fake your way through, putting on a phoney smile at mettings, and acting like you want to be there. I feel for you. Wish you the absolute best :)

Sorry I pressed ENTER on the last topic by mistake. Anyway, in the new December 1st, public edition of the WT, in an article titled "Will the Earth survive 2012?" An actual paragraph says this:
When will this occur? No human knows. “Concerning that day or the hour nobody knows,” said Jesus, “neither the angels in heaven nor the Son, but the Father.” (Mark 13:32) Jehovah’sWitnesses do not try to predict when God will destroy the wicked. Though they are alert to “the sign” of the end and believe that humankind is living in the Biblical “last days,” they cannot know just when “the end” will occur. (Mark 13:4-8, 33; 2 Timothy 3:1) They leave that solely in the hands of their heavenly Father and his Son.
Perhaps this may be the case NOW, after so many failed prophecies. But new recruits who read this are left with the idea that JW's have NEVER attempted to make predictions or prophecies based on the scriptures.
Until I did my research, I never would have realized how much information is withheld from new recruits. Without the internet, many would know next to nothing before coming in.

by stillstuckcruz ini'm talking to this girl right now who is technically still a witness.

I'm talking to this girl right now who is technically still a witness. She doenst go to the meetings anymore but not because she does not feel its the truth. Her parents are no longer witnesses and I want to get her to see the truth about the "truth" BEFORE she decides to go back in. Like many, she has all the guilt of leaving and its only a matter of time before she goes back. She has tried to convice me of its truthfullness even though she only knows the basics of the organization and a little extra. But she has presented me with the following questions:
Jehovah want's people to gain accurate knowlege right? So where do they gain this knowledge if they are not JW's?
Jehovah wants his people to be united right? So why should we not disfellowship those who have a difference of opinion? That only creates disuniuty! JW's are the only people who are entirely united on the Earth. Worldly churches can even agree on their own teachings.
What other group do you know that goes preaching from door to door on the same scale as JW's? The bibe says to preach to every land(bla bla bla). Jehovahs Witnesses are the only group doing that on such a scale. this proves they are the truth.
Why are all the annointed ONLY in the JW religion? (I used to wonder the same thing until I did research)
Basically I just need help in answering these questions to her that will the effective. I don't want to sound totally off base to her where she will instantly reject me, reasoning that im just a Satanic apostate seeking to destroy here faith yada yada. Well she knows I dont believe its the truth but I want to explain the answers to her effectively. Any ideas?

Im still reading In Search of Christian Freedom by Ray Franz. One of the things he mentions is that those who display any independent thinking or who remain true to themselves do so, not as a RESULT of the organization, but in SPITE of the organization. Very true, I believe. I't sinteresting how many JW's dont necessarily agree on the same points but obviously refuse to speak up or say anything. Or those who THINK they know certain teaching when, in fact, they are confused about it or misinterperet it.

AWESOME coincidence today in college!
by TimothyT inlast week was my first week in college on my new counselling course.
last year i decided i wanted to join a course which would help me to understand my own sufferings and try to help others to do the same.
we introduced ourselves to our class mates and i made it very clear to them all that i am gay and i was kicked out of the jehovahs witnesses and now im much happier.

What an awesome experience! If any JW read this, they would say that it was Satan's doing or something. It's funny how any "coincidence" favorable to JW's teachings or whatever is the result of God's blessings and will. Of course, any coincidences outside of that are a result of Satan. Or they are just that...mere coincidences. you are so very fortunate. I pray one day for a person who can empathise with me and we can understand what it's like together. I have a best friend who I can talk to about my JW experiences, and she gasps and everything, but she will never understand fully what we all go through. Good for you Timmy!

I saw two individuals say no only once. A daughter and father. Oviously they were completely ignored because majority rules. It's not that everyone ACTUALLY agrees to it. It's just like when your personally asked to do an assignment. It's an arrangement from Jehovah God so you BETTER not deny it! You feel compelled and obligated to do so.
It's just like Ray franz said in CoC with regards the 2/3's majority rule. You would automatically know when certain hands went up, most others would follow simply because they felt compelled to. No different here.

Do you sense that the Watchtower will implode?
by AK - Jeff insince leaving the organization 8 years ago, there have been more significant changes in the actual, physical activities of the organization than occurred in all the 40 plus years i was 'in'.

I sense a VERY slow destruction of the oranization. As the message gets out about what they are really about and how they REALLY operate, less and less people will be coming in, and more will be leaving. But I agree with Black Sheep. They have too much invested and most, no matter how much contrary evidence you present, will refuse to believe any of it. It's the "Truth" no matter what. So while I sense a downward spiraling, I don't see it going out of business any time soon.
Instead of just apostasizing at conventions at assemblies, I think educated individuals should go from door to door speaking to people ABOUT JW's, even if its just a panphlet with a link to websites. The internet is the peoples antidote.
