Anti-War? Maybe there IS something you can do....
by dubla inas many of us have said, the anti-war posters have their views, and the pro-war posters have theirs, and regardless of anyones opinion, a war with iraq is inevitable.
but, it looks like the war protesters may be able to make an actual difference now, if they so choose.....check it out: .

Referring to the beliefs as the truth was a help in my getting out. Truth never changes, watchtower always does. Light isn't getting brighter since they go back and forth on some issues. Guess the bright light is flickering.
Not too long ago an old friend said he wishes I were still in the truth. I had to jump him a bit and asked him how it could be the truth especially since they've failed in every prophecy attempt. He quoted the company line with how prophets are really teachers. I laughed and said yes my math prophet in highschool was really tough on me but that my science prophet loved me.

No Eternal Life---Now What Hope Do You Have?
by minimus inone thing all witnesses have had in common is the belief that they would someday inherit everlasting life.
as more and more express the thought that they really don't have much hope for the future, has anything replaced the hope of eternal life in paradise earth?
or are we ultimately, hopeless?

I'm astounded by the UNDER-PATRIOTISM Displayed
by Yerusalyim inyep,.
it boggles my mind, so many here would rather believe saddam hussein than their own government.
so many here seem certain the bush administration is lying, but trust hussein to tell the truth.

believe Saddam Hussein than their own government.
I was once a patriot Yeru. I no longer am. I do not trust our government any more than any other government. I voted for Bush over Gore and like most people that vote, I voted for the one that seemed less screwed up. Not because I supported Bush.
I also believe that our government isn't as kind and good as many suspect. They take half my money as they believe they are entitled to it. If I don't fill out a form correctly they can take my home if they want. No one else has that power in my life. Well maybe the wife does but she's more fun than the government. I suppose I trust our government as much as an ex wife.
I am not willing to die for the flag. Ever. If my son were drafted I would help him to escape. I would be willing to die for family and friends. Never for the empire.
I do support an all out attack on Iraq and it isn't because I'm a patriot. It simply makes sense to me.

I am leaving my wife...
by fulano inand i feel sad.
everything happened so fast, 1999 back from patterson, 2000 inactive and no longer an elder, 2001 smoking everything that planet earth offers, and now in love with a girl for a couple of months.
i feel sad but liberated.

I didn't cut all my ties. Kept the wife and kid.
Good luck. I'm sure a failed marriage has as much to do with the relationship as it does with the society.

Jehovah's Witnesses Deny They Are A Cult
by Kenneson inin today's globe and mail, an article entitled "where cultists play" addresses the issue of cults, principally in quebec.
it takes a good look at the raelians and other cults of french origin.. speaking of france, it says that "the government has drawn up a list of 172 groups it considers to be cults; those deemed the most 'dangerous' are subject to special scrutiny.
the list, which attracted criticism from civil libertarians, includes jehovah's witnesses and seventh -day adventists.".

yesterday, i saw two sisters coming to the door and i didn't answer to hopefully avoid a confrontation.

My son's letter of disassociation
by Titanic inmy son (18) has given his letter of disassociation to the elders , and it will be announced tomorrow night.i disassociated myself last year but i have never encouraged my son to do so.
he has not done it earlier for personal reasons, though he would have liked to as he really hates them even more than me, and believe me he has very good reasons.
my son was one of the most active young ones in the congregation..he gave so much for this organization...so it was unbelievable the way he was treated in time of test.what an example of ungratefulness and a total lack of love on the part of the jw.

While I'm sure the elders will simply think that satan got ahold of your son and shake their heads in phoney sorrow I think you should be very proud of him. Nice to be 18 and have your eyes wide open.
