  what is it about us that they find so irresistable?

  not me personally of course, but men per se?

  i guess one or two ladies must find me attractive, but thats women for you all over, overly-wrought-muddles-of-consciousness-on-two-legs.. women are all so weird, bound to get some weird replies now i guess too.. over to the ladies ....

  can someone please explain how the society invests.. what i'd also like to know is how much does it invest?.

  in which companies?.

  also what does it mean for a company if you buy shares , are they relient on the share holder , do they have a say in the buisness?.

  Sleepy the society always claims they have open books that anyone can examine. I was told this in my old kingdom hall over and over. But I was never allowed to examine the books or get any details. All we knew were the monthly expenses and income.

  It was very much like a movie that was popular a couple of years ago, but I won't say the name of that one as it's a giveaway if I do. I had it figured out maybe 10 or 15 minutes before the ending, but if I hadn't heard there was a huge twist then I would not have been able to do that.

  I'm no Tom Cruise fan but I enjoyed the movie. It was snowing out and sitting there with a big coke and a bucket of popcorn was the intelligent thing to do.

  Bluemoon if she likes you and you like her, expect to be participating in a bible study and major changes in your life. I would not get involved with this women if I were you. While many JW women are fantastic, getting involved with her is getting involved with a cult.

  If she hasn't stolen your heart already, then tell her you want nothing to do with being a JW, see where that goes.

  its amazing how many, after seeing the damning evidence of the video featuring bin laden talking about the attrocities,dismiss it as a doctored fake etc,they just cannot accept the possibility it might be true,it just seems like what ever evidence is presented it will be dissmissed as not to be trusted,just what would they accept as proof,nothing it seems.. havent we heard this all before somewhere?.

  i was just in chat saying how a few good friends of mine tell me i need to leave this all behind in order to leave the jws behind.. well, my answer is no!.

  i celebrate this board and all it has done for me, and to those of you who complain about fluff and anti-fluff and what this board should be and what it shouldn't be; i don't give a toss.. the result is in what it does for individuals, not what it looks like, or whether would make a good story.. i will continue to check this site daily, and although my "worldly" friends have my best interests at heart, i can see in the cold light of day what this site does, even if it is evolving and contains "fluff", or does anything else.

  let the tens of thousands of sites who speak the truth ring out, and let this site do what it does best!!

  You know when I was on H20 I was too angry. It wasn't good for me to be around ex-witnesses at that time. It just fed my anger. But the anger isn't so close to the surface now, so I find this site to be of great support.

  2001 vs 1975

  in 1975 jws had several things going for them.

  the ex-jws that left because of earlier prophetic failures had no real way to reach us.

  most jws were of a newer generation, eager for something to happen given the times we lived in.

  I suppose the false prophets are getting a little nervous about blowing it anymore. Too many mistakes in the past. JW's in my area are telling the neighbors that 9-11 is another sign that the end is very close. Of course, everything is another sign.

  I wish they would publish something else along the lines they did in 1975. That would only get more to leave.

  Although after Osama is captured or killed, someone is bound to scream "peace and security" and maybe that will get them to take a stand. But wait, isn't the society supposed to be under attack as the last sign? Religion is going to collaspe right?

  OK, might go check this movie out this weekend then. I use http://www.crankycritic.com/ to help me decide if it's worth seeing or not. He hated this movie but there are times that I do disagree with him. Nice that I'm alllowed to do that these days.

  Crank Critic rates movies on a scale up to what he would be willing to pay for a ticket to see the movie. He ranked Vanilla Sky at 1.00 dollar. He figures a date worthly movie should cost 5 bucks and the high end is 10 bucks.

  unfortunately, my wt library isn't working so i can't post an actual quote (i suppose the witness god put an electronic curse on it), however - do you remember those really good(?

  ) articles telling us how the witnesses have always used the latest technology in spreading "this good news" to all parts of the world?.

  there was phonograms, photo dramas of creation, latest printing facilities and the first of it's kind multi lingual photo type setting equipment and so on.. and then came the internet, well i mean the proliferation of internet use as the internet has been around since the 60's in one form or another.. there are two problems as i see it with the internet:.

  It's amazing how they fear the "truth" won't stand up to the test. JW's who come here at first look at these posts and think...lies all lies... but then it slowly starts to sink in. Great points made here.
