  in the april 1, 2002 issue of the watchtower, an article appears entitled "keep on serving jehovah with a steadfast heart".

  paragraph 14 of this article states: "if jehovah's organization knowingly endorsed false teachings, advice to read the bible would never be given to jehovah's witnesses and those to whom they preach.".

  i am withholding comment on this statement, because i'd like to hear from any who would like to post a response.

  ANOINTED JEHOVAH WITNESS APOLOGIZES

  dear people, i posted my first post on anointed witness has no doubt stating that i have the heavenly hope and was seeking others.

  many of you responded and i read all your replies.

  i am lonely in terms of knowing few other young anointed and being an active witness, so this makes me an oddity among you and in my cong.. mnay also wondered why i was on this website of ex-witness,.

  We already have our token board anointed--AGuest. LOL. And she has quite a fan club. And her share of detractors.

  Besides, we have Little Toe, who IMHO, kicks ass. But since he doesn't throw his 'heavenly calling' around--no one makes anything of it. If it's real, it's enough that he and Jesus know.

  We may not be ready for another proclaimer of special anointing.

  And I feel it is safe to say NONE of us are willing to risk our children's happiness at the expense of 'trying the old boys out again.'

  If you are really anointed then you believe it's as Jesus said, namely, where two or more are gathered in his name he is present. THEREFORE those of us who choose to believe in God and Jesus or any combination thereof have NO NEED of the phony love dispensed at the local Kingdumb Hall.

  the familiar tale of moses approaching pharoah with the demand to free israelite slaves has always purplexed me.

  the account says that yhwh miraculously changed moses staff into a serpant but then just as miraculously pharoah's priests did likewise.

  does this not "prove" that satan is equally capable of creating life from nothing?

  i'm watching cnn and the actor robert blake, best known for his role in the tv series baretta, has just been arrested for the murder of his wife.

  they are charging him with the deliberate first degree murder of his wife.

  we had a post going recently about slave reparations in the united states.

  it led to some pretty heated and interesting discusions from all sides.

  at one point i pointed out that more people are enslaved today than at any time in history (twenty seven million).

  one of my old memories is of a watchtower calendar that was published sometime in the 60s, i think - it was a "glorious" full dolor depiction of armageddon - the earth opening up, buildings falling, etc.

  it was, if memory serves (and it seldom does now) similar to the illustration from the old pink paradise book, except that it was in color.. does this ring a bell with any of you?

  That's all she did. Now all the other 'spiritual minded' sisters who are married to MS or Elders have to kiss her ass!

  question about racial demographics

  hello...i hope this is the proper place to pose my question.. i've been meeting with a fine jw couple for several months now and i have attended meetings with them twice at the kingdom hall.

  a large segment of the congregation were people of color and it also seems that whenever i meet a jw on the street, they are more often than not african-american.

  i was wondering if there was some explanation for this, or is just coincidence?

  Considering you are a Mormon, I'm wondering *how many* minorities make up "more often than not" for you. Betcha anything they've seen more blacks and Hispanics in Salt Lake City with the Olympics for the past month than many have seen their whole life!

  I was not surprised several years ago when a Black man had to sue the LDS in order to be ordained.

  Don't get yer knickers in a twist, I'm just bustin yer chops.

  Anyhow, the short answer to your question is, it really depends on where you live. I have attended congs made up of 95% white, and 95% black. And now that I think about it, 95% Puerto Rican when I lived in PR of course.

  Others may have differing opinions, but I'm sure there's not too many blacks attending in Idaho and I'm sure there's not too many whites attending in Washington DC or "Hot-lanta."

  Hoof in Mouth, it is obvious that you have never done your civic duty: jury service.

  If so, you would have MUCH better knowledge of how a jury decision is made rather than weave your conspiracy theories. You would know that a jury takes its responsibility very seriously, and unless there was an instant unanimous decision, the jury very likely deliberated for quite a while.

  [NYJW] was fired from the [Defendant] on March 11, 1995. [NYJW], who is black, alleges that he was treated differently than were white employees during his employment and that he was fired and then not re-hired because of his race.

  His argument WAS NOT that he was being harassed based on his religious beliefs, (which would also be illegal.)

  His argument was strictly that he was harassed on racial grounds.

  Quit with the jealousy already.
