I agree with you almost 100%.
This issue, though, is the one that mademe realize that the JWs are a cult and have brainwashed their victims. WHY? Because honest, goodhearted men who would rather die than harm a fly have somehow been snookered into believing that their manner of "investigating sins" is Jehovah's manner.
And, as I have stated before, the parents of the children themselves also have some culpability here--NOT that they (in all cases) knew the molestation was taking place. But those that did "committed the same crime" as my father/other elders. Instead of going to the police, they chose to let the elders handle it.
I can tell you now, they haven't made an elder yet that could handle me if my children were molested.
THE PATTERN WAS DESIGNED BY THE GOVERNING BODY. THEY are the bloodguilty ones here.
"God's ways are higher than man's ways" and when you've been hearing for YEARS sometimes DECADES that you are God's right hand man.....well, you lose perspective. Period.
I know many asshole elders, and a few elders that I would probably give my life for. They honestly think they are doing what's right.
Your position postulates that even Bill Bowen himself was an abuser...and it just isn't true. Unwittingly, unknowingly these men have participated in crimes against children. But I personally would not go the extra step to call them an abuser. Yes, the judicial committees they sat on have done irreparable damage to who knows how many adults and children.
Calling *ALL* of those men abusers outright, imho, is doing a disservice. Remember that at one time, we too were "abusers"--going from door to door spreading our brainwashing message of death to the unsuspecting general public.
Without giving any confidential details over the DB, I'd say we should talk via phone. I'll send you my number via email. Bill Bowen woke up. The rest haven't woken up yet to the reality of the situation.

) but lately (past month) i really haven't been feeling drawn to jw.com.
i have nothing but admiration for simon, ang, bill and shiela but i do have some questions worth raising.

Although I'm on my way to bed now, I'll just make a couple of brief comments. I will try to catch up tomorrow although it's a holiday for us and I've plans.
My position is that when a hot-button issue such as pedophilia is on the tip of everyone's tongue....the pressure is on you to moderate those issues with a heavier hand.As you know from emails I've privately written you, I'm not campaigning for Fred's return. I am aware that you get many emails, and am not pressuring you to respond. I know you'll respond when you're able.
Simon I'm not saying either way Fred or NYT should have/should have not been deactivated. You and Dubla are the only ones I've shared a certain theory with, and if you re-read my emails you'll see why.
This post was NOT about Fred or Jesika, they just (unfortunately for Jesika)represent the topic.
It is the responsiblity of the community of posters at large not to put more pressure on you to moderate certain hot-button topics.As for this topic being "discussed to death," I already mentioned I went on vacation a day or two after it happened. I'm just now giving it some thought after reading certain posts. Those posts did not state my opinion, so I made my own. I wasn't aware that just because something had "previously been discussed" it was considered case closed.
Little Witch made bitchy, attackingremarks to me. (followed by Valis') I don't feel that saying, "I've never posted before" and then saying, "Well yes I did, are you satisfied?" is a "minor inconsistency."
I'm NOT LABELING LW a troll. Yet, this is some of the exact behavior we've seen from trolls in the past. I don't like it, it isn't honest or fair.Trying to give the impression that you are "impartial" because you are a "newbie" then admitting.....well, you've been around for months. C'mon, now! " comparing their bible, the new world translation , with the king james version, we see an interesting difference at romans 11:6:
nwt: "now if it is by undeserved kindness, it is no longer due to works; otherwise, the undeserved kindness no longer proves to be undeserved kindness.

Of course, Paul being a murderer of the followers of Jesus, and still being allowed to live,may certainly mean that *he* received undeserved kindness from the LORD.
That doesn't mean the rest of us are in the boat with Paul, though.
Think: a parent has five children, and all five children do things you expect children will do. Misbehave on occasion, don't do their school studies on time, read past "lights out" time.
One of those children does something to the family that is worthy of receiving the ultimate family punishment. The parents react in a merciful manner, with kindness and understanding of that child's weakness. Surely, that child has a right to talk about the "undeserved kindness" he or she received.
But, when that same kid goes on blathering to others about the "undeserved kindness" that *all* of the children receive, he/she may be stretching it a bit, don't you think? Trying to lump the other children in with him/herself may be just a bit much.
"Jehovah" is the one who, according to the WBTS has the power to stop the suffering that his children are put through on a daily basis. And yet, he doesn't. Where is this "Kindness" I'm hearing so much of?

by QUEENIE inwell i went over test results so far and got more to do--as to going into detail well i just as soon not but i did leave outof there with a brand new walkwe - 4 wheels - a seat - a basket and candy apple red !!!
