  what was the worst meeting you ever attended ?

  here's mine :.

  back in the early 90's we went to the sunday talk and wt study.. lo and behold, a friend from the 70's who was df'ed ( he had just been reinstated) was there along with his parents.

  i had no idea that they would have been there.. one of my kids was getting sick, so my wife and i were up-down the entire meeting walking him around.

  Back in 1968 I was a teenager driving mom & my siblings to Sunday meeting. There was a dead skunk in the road & I was sure I could straddle it. Instead I hit the thing dead on. The whole car & everyone in it stunk. Mom insisted we continue on to the meeting. Even though we sat in the back, the whole hall reeked. We got dirty looks for 2 hrs. It took a while to live that one down.

  Arrogance & hypocrisy. This trickles down from the GB to the DO's & CO's who teach it to the elders who bestow this gift on the gulible. And the gulible are the classic example of "a little bit of knowledge being a dangerous thing." Good luck. Those lurking get out of this organization now.

  Same old crap. Anyone can say year after year, decade after decade, century after century that the end is near. That warning has no merit. In the meantime, plan for a future. MR. QUIK SAYS THE END IS NEAR. (I'll keep saying this until it actually is the end or an end or something climatic.) AND THEN ALL SHALL KNOW OF MY GREAT ALL KNOWING POWER!!!

  Thanks for the date. Makes me want to get closer to God. Maybe I should join an organization. Yeah, one that believes that the end could come at any time. Perhaps one that includes me warning my neighbors... that would be good. I could also go to their meetings ..... often. I mean who would dare miss out on some important information..... probably from God himself. I certainly would want to support such an organization financially of course. I mean, after all, I certainly will not need money. If only someone could recommend one for me.........

  You're right Billy. Whatever happened to that long line of current events that was to precede "The Great Tribulation"? I read just a few months ago in a WT that the end could come AT ANY TIME. Evidently the "Revelation" book was mostly crap. And to think I wasted all those Tuesday nights studying so diligently.

  Just finish reading the 2 part of Randy Watters story

  i find his life story very interesting.

  but in part 2 of his story he said something that hit me right between the eyes.

  he states "gb rewrites their own history and rewrites themselves into the bible, as if it was written to them and only themn.

  I always got that "well the GB is not perfect". OK, then who is responsible for this car wreck? And after the 75 debacle, as humans who made mistakes, it was so comforting to see them blame the GC for "running ahead". They've never taken any responsiblity. Such sickening hypocrisy & arrogance. I see why Jesus was so pissed at the scribes & pharisees.

  All this brings to mind Pastor Russell's remark of "when the good Lord fails to provide funds, we will understand it to mean the end of our work" I see the Good Lord is enlisting the help of the IRS. Couldn't come soon enough.
