Need help with 607 date & false prophet scr...

How would you counter these common JW arguments?

so what i've been doing over the last few days is thinking of ways to counter the questions that i know will be directed to me.

If you leave the truth how will you be following the scripture "do not be forsaking the gathering of yourselves together"?
In turn that questions is usually followed up by them loosely quoting Peter where else are you going to go to? (Thanks to the people on this board I realize now that Peter said who and not where, but most JWs insist that you must be with a group (theirs) in order to serve God)
A few months back I was speaking with an elder about the scripture in Deuteronomy pertaining to false prophecy. He basically tried to pass it off by saying that scripture only applied to the false prophets of the other nations during that time period. While I disagree with his notion that the scripture has only a limited scope I would like to be able to use other scriptural texts of idenitifying false prophets. Any suggestions?
I realize some of my questions and posts are a bit rendundant, but please bear with me. I'm still kind of nervous about the whole ordeal, this is probably the biggest decision I've ever made in my 29 years.

In about 2 or 3 weeks I'll be stepping down as a MS and leaving the WTS for good. But before I do so I'm trying to prepare some information in regards to the 607 date and numerous false prophecies (predictions)
In particular I was hoping someone could give me some information on the following:
1. - Scriptural evidence of when Jersualem was really destroyed
2. - Bibical accounts and verses of:
A - Jesus prophesying about people who would mislead others in regards to the composite sign
B - False prophets who would mislead others in regards to Jesus return
C - People who would mislead others in regards to making guesses or predictions about armageddonI would REALLY appreciate any information on those areas. I'm thinking that it might be a slim chance that I can present this information to my father-in-law. (who is a presiding overseer) If he was to accept this information I'm positive that it would cause quite an upset.

Are there other religions w similar beliefs to WTS
by Leander inin particular the belief that the soul does die at death, (its not eternally tormented) belief in a paradise hope and other similar doctrines of the wts.. i'm curious as to just how unique the wts is.
they claim to be the only ones with their particular set of beliefs but its something that i never really researched all the years that i've been a jw.

Any fitness gurus out there
by Leander inwell since i've made up my mind to take control of my life by leaving the borg i also want to get myself back in shape.
a few years ago i wass 6'1, about 205 (all muscle) with less than 10% bodyfat.
today lets just say that i need to get back into a serious workout regimine.. .

Well since I've made up my mind to take control of my life by leaving the borg I also want to get myself back in shape. A few years ago I wass 6'1, about 205 (all muscle) with less than 10% bodyfat. Today lets just say that I need to get back into a serious workout regimine.
One of my biggest problems is eating healthy. I tend to gravitiate towards junk food/fast food, if I could get some good ideas on whats healthy I'd probably be back in shape in a couple of months.
So whats worked for you
