Thanks for sharing your story, I am really sorry to hear about the pain you've had to suffer. This kind of thing really opens my eyes to this organization. The WTS swears up and down that they are God's spirit directed organization, but would God's spirit be upon men who abuse their families?

Sexual Abuse of wives in the Borg
by Lady Lee inand justly so.
when it came out, the elders and my mother chose to put me in foster care and keep the abuser in the home and congregation - supposedly to keep me safe.. i believed that at the time.
my step-father who had abused me was no longer around so it was "safe" for me to come home from the foster home (more than 500 km away).

Is there really a file on pedophiles in the WTS?
by Leander ini got drafted to take out the field service group this weekend, as we were on our way out to the territory yesterday morning sonmeone brought up the chicago suntimes article on jws.
almost immediately everyone in the group had negative comments about bill or the newspaper.
whats interesting also is that whenever there is a person who speaks against the wts their is always an assumption that the person is disfellowshipped and is angry because of it.

Its interesting all of this stuff is hitting the fan the same month I'm planning on vacating the tower.
I wonder if the WTS is legally obligated to give details about that file.

This of course is'nt Bill's situation, he stepped away on his own accord.
Anyway going back to yesterday's group attack, someone mentioned that the society more than likely does'nt have a list on pedophiles. This got me to wondering do they really have a list? If so are they required to have one by law and should that list be given to the local elders?
Anyone have any insight on this?

Newsflash-JR Brown is a goddamn liar!
by ashitaka injust wanted to say that in a thread of it's own.

What did he lie about? I'm just now catching up on the articles about Bill and the WTS trying to take action against him.
What exactly did JR claim?

BREAKING MY SILENCE EVERYONE READ!!!
by D8TA inas ive made it known on this board, my current status with the watchtower bible and tract society is that of inactive.
this is a loophole i have utilized, to keep an open channel of communication with family members in the organization.. i want to clarify with everyone: i do not hold any doctrinal ideas, theology, ideology, opinions expressed in any form by the wtbts.
therefore, to simply put, i do not believe in the wtbts in any way, shape, or form.

WooHoo - I got the job, time to leave the borg
by Leander inmy current job is due to be phased out within the next few weeks and i had been reluctant to make my announcement until i secured a new position.
i figured just in case my wife went beserk and left i would'nt want to be stuck looking for a job and carrying all the bills.. anyway i went on an interview yesterday within the company and this morning i got the call that if i wanted the job it was mine, so naturally i accepted without hesitation.
so now my next step is to get a second car within the next few days, that way i won't be stuck at the house when my wife is at the meetings or field service.

I was tempted to tell my wife and the elders I was leaving earlier than I had initially planned but I'm glad that I waited. Its gonna be such a pleasure to not have to worry about dragging myself to to the hall on days that I'm dog tired. No more getting up in the morning for field service, for once in my life I can actually wake up when I want to.
ahhh how sweet it is

I'm kinda excited about being able to finally get a part of my life back. I'm just trying to figure out should I write a letter stating that I'm stepping down as a servant or should I do it in person. hmmmm decisions

Always in the last place you look ...
by Simon inthe answer to that age old question:.
when you are looking for something, why is it always in the last place you look?.
well, if you think about it, it's pretty obvious:.

Why do people use the phrase "never say never"? By uttering that sentence they have just said never twice.

My letter to the no-spin-zone FOX NEWS
by freeman inhere is my letter to bill oreilly of fox news.
i used my real name, address, and phone number so if it gets read on the air, everyone will know who freeman is and i will likely be disfellowshiped for apostasy.
and imho, it would be well worth it if it saves just one poor kid.

Thats an excellent letter Freeman. Hopefully if enough talk of whats going in the WTS gets to the right people then maybe we'll see a major story break forth in the news.
