There was one trying to get me to enter into selling Organo Gold Coffee. He bragged all over his Facebook page about how wealthy he was and how god was blessing him. He claimed to be a pioneer with his wife. It disgusted me.

Did you noticed the picture of Noah and his sons in the watchtower study today? One son's head was toward what was going on in the street. Noah's face was very stern and was looking at this son who was not paying attention to the building directions. He may have been telling him in a stern voice that the business at hand is on the desk.
May 22 at 2:07pm- Susan we also mentioned that he might have been afraid that the violence would come into their house. I was noticing the 1 nephilim standing at their doorway, perhaps Jehovah's angel was not allowing him in so that Noah could do his work. May 22 at 2:08pm ·
- @barbara,excelent observation..thats exactly what Noah ws telling his son.if we dont take care the happenings in the world would make us loose track of the most important things May 22 at 2:44pm · ·
- UR right Barb! A sister commented on this 2day as well . She also noted what the Nep's were doing in the background. (dragging 2 women; hitting a man; and blood on the front of one's clothes) The slave truly shows us how to compare then and now. May 22 at 3:31pm ·
- haha, i just commented to someone else the same thing, very good pictures and so much to gleen from them, amazing. May 22 at 5:56pm ·
- one picture is worth a thousand words---and it is so true---people see different things in the same picture--that is why they are fun to talk about and share our thoughts. May 22 at 6:10pm ·

- All good comments--Sometimes even though we are in the "ark" observing the wickedness of the giant evil world outside-- May 23 at 10:40am ·
- sorry--to continue my thought--violence will find a way to make us a victim through no fault of our own. Satan is out to get us no matter what---but as the lesson brought out --we don't voluntarily go out into the "realm of the nephlim" lo ... See More May 23 at 10:55am ·

Today's WT lesson: Desperate for more MS. How many get appointed 1 yr after baptism?
by Open mind intoday's wt lesson: serving jehovah with all seriousness, excerpt from paragraph 11:.
"if a brother has been baptized at least one year and to a reasonable degree meets the scriptural qualifications for ministerial servants outlined at 1 timothy 3:8-13, he can be recommended for appointment.".
how often have you seen someone become a ministerial servant one year after baptism?

Welcome Shakyground. Your experiences remind me a lot of what I went through. It was a confusing, scary time for me when I realized that the "truth" was not the Truth. I constantly feared that Armageddon would be here very soon and that I would die a scary death from the hands of Jehovah. Once your eyes are open completely, you'll see how silly it all is. Embrace the "world" and embrace life or it will pass you by. Surround yourself with positive people good people and things will go smooth.
…..Weed isn’t that bad, it helped my mind think spiritually and much deeper after I left the Org. Like all things, never overly abuse. That’s just my own opinion.

Any suggestions for legitimate work at home jobs?
by coffee_black inmy daughter may need this.
since she has heart failure, she may not be able to go back to work, because her dr. has placed her on a 5 lb lifting restriction.
her company has held her job open for her since the end of november, but will not agree this restriction.. she has applied for disability, but since her dr would allow her to work at all (dispite strict restrictions) she has been told that they will not likely approve her.... so she is caught between a rock and a hard place.

If your sister can shop at a store and type on a computer, being a secret shopper does pay. I have done this several times and found these contractors online. Its not great pay, maybe like $10-$25 a shop. I have used sassieshop.com and a couple other companies.
ebay is another at home thing you can try, it can work if you work really really hard. sell stuff from home, buying wholesale items then marking them up some.

What convinced You?

What first got me having some major questions was when the Elder's came to my house warning my family of looming death. After that eye opener, advice and reading from this website has helped extremely well. But I'd say when I personally sat down and decided to look over the Proclaimers Book, and some of the first things that popped out to me, that is what really convinced me it was nothing but a sham!

An Intro and apology.
by Slidin Fast ini have been an avid reader on this site for a few years and have weighed in on a few topics and introduced a few more without introducing myself.
for this i apologise.
the main reason for my reticence is that being a second generation born in but having been baptised in the 50s i will find it difficult to make an introduction without giving the game away.
