i learned to be a great public speaker from the old school service meetings. and singer from the songs. and i learned how to sleep 3 ways in a sitting position.

back when you used to get to write an intro and middle and conclusion to the bible readings. the best was you were a star that night when i was a kid, get to go for mcdonalds ice cream after the meeting.

just sucks who i have to thank for the skills.

i was on shaky ground.. any major catastrophe in the world that took place, i thought.

today i can not think of one single event.

this is what the guest speaker was saying at my wife's hall yesterday.

she and i was babysitting our niece and since she had three kids going to the hall with her (including my two daughters) i figured i'd go with her to help out.

they were rambuctious and wild to say the least.. while i was in the hallway with my youngest daughter, i continued to listen to the speaker talk.

getting baptised as a witness allows elders to sit down with you privately and administer private programming.

you answer the questions correctly, prove to them the programming is working and then they can release you out on your own.

by answering the questions correctly you are submitting to the doctrine.

the questions are one reason i didn't get dunked.

i knew i'd get in trouble as a teen was another reason.

and the whole dedicating yourself to an organization was another.

and the fact that they wouldn't do it NOW. you had to go through the questions, then wait for judgemnet, then wait for assembly. bible times they baptised same day as the person learned and accepted the faith.

Why did Lazarus die a second time ?

anyone know the jw explanation to why did anyone who was resurrected by jesus (or any of the other prophets in the bible), die a second time ?.

were they resurrected imperfect, w/ adamic sin or something ?

was jesus unable to (or chose not to) resurrect them perfectly ?.

can anyone think of direct scriptures that prove this one way or the other?

i can't remember reading that the resurrected ones died again. in any of the books i've read. they seldom mention the resurrected person again.

i wonder if it has to do with the "man born of woman verse man born of spirit" arguement. those brought back were still in "born from woman" form.

Consider the example of a teenage girl in the
country of Ethiopia.

examples are not experiances. examples CAN be fictious.

they don't give names. they don't say it's a true story. they don't deny they made it up.

it's clearly worded.

devils in the details they say. they are right.

which persons in modern society are they warning about? are they refering to court cases or meeting someone on the street?

who are they worried about so that they'd have to lie?

in what instances in life would you be required to use "theocratic war" techniques?

please answer these question REALISTICLY.

please justify your lie.

and the rapist excuse is lame. would NEVER happen, so give another example. REALISTIC.

I got turned down for a bible study!

a freind of mine went online and requested a bible study.

they showed up while she was gone and i talked to them.

i told them they could come over to talk to me and we could try to find my place in the org.

or maybe the jdubs should get a section written in the "conversation stoppers"(reasoning book?) on how to respond to all the touchy subjects.

i was a cocky witness. i hoped someone would challange my faith on a door step. so i went online and researched "how to stump a jw at your door". nobody was gonna stump me!! then i learned what we all know now and i left.

i was sure they were right until someone made me think.
