  NEW policy! NO LIT for EX-JWs!

  it's official; they read the letter tonight that puts forth the new procedure.

  if you find an expelled person in the field or are studying with one, you are no longer permitted to give them lit.

  presumably the elders make a decision if an expelled one is regularly attending meetings, but only they can give them lit.

  Personally I think it is kind of funny...and many here should be proud of themselves. It must make them crazy to come to apoastate sites and see their lit for all to see. I love it, it just shows those that are really looking, how controlling this cult really is. Should they be that afraid of others having their lit? If they had nothing to hide why in the world would they care who has it. As much as the JW's put down the Catholic Church for the dark ages when they would not let anyone have a bible....seems the same tactics to me.

  Out of the Family...

  literally and figuratively.... if you don't know my story, its the basic "i'm gay and from a family of jws" and lately it hasn't been going well.

  i'm still saving up to move out, but that "meeting" i was suppose to have with the elders is scheduled tonight.

  it was scheduled tuesday night but i dodged that bitch hard.

  I am so sorry that you are being treated in the way that you are. It is especially hurtful from your own mother. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH YOU!!!!! Who we love and are attracted to is not a choice. It is like saying I wish my skin color was different. We are who we are.

  If you could maybe you could give your mother the web address for PFLAG. She is acting like this due to fear of what she does not know, or understand. Also, for your mom she is probably feeling like it is her fault in someway. More then likely that is how the "loving brothers" will look at it, and your mom knows it. You are going to have to give her time to even begin to digest what you have said to her.

  In the meantime you have to take care of yourself. Being verbally abused is not healthy for you. Is there a possibility you have some other place to stay while this plays out? It might be emotionally safer for you. Also, if you are in a larger area there are support groups for gay and lesbian youth. I think it would be good to look one up. You need support right not. Just remember you are important, you are ok, I am thinking of you.

  Women and Men....Can they be 'just good friends'........

  i regularly talk to a poster on this board via the pm system...............mainly because i like his mind.......today he suggested in reply to something i had said that basically men and women dont do friendship.........he asked the question 'why do people even bother with each other if they dont fancy each others intimacy?

  '...............not that he was suggesting this about us.........but i am just wondering what you lot think.. it has been my experience to have some wonderful men friends...........i love mens company and their conversation..........now i am wondering if all those 'mates' were/are after something else............well not really........i am pretty sure at least some of them arent.. so whats your view/experience.........can men and women just be good friends.. oh and to my friend who i pm.........this is not a criticism of you.........i am interested in what others experiences are..........and i will give you a big kiss (on the cheek) one day when i see ya to make up for it.......... fi.

  I would have to say that my best friends are male. But to be perfectly frank, I think in the beginning their was some kind of chemistry....but it only has ever been friendship. Maybe that is why it works...there is an intimacy but we don't screw it up with sex, we can enjoy each others intellect, opinions, ideas, and take no offense at what is said one to the other. Makes wonderful friendships.

  If it was your kid that kept doing what this silly girl does, believe me he/she would be in jail longer then what she is going to be. I think it is time to pay the piper. They really gave it to her at the MTV awards last night. No mercy even from her piers.

  Just Married!

  well me and megan are all married now.. we had an amazing day, the weather was perfect and of course the baby was there in a way (inside its ma').

  mum unfortunately missed it because she was in hospital from thursday, so next year were renewing vows to give her the opportunity to see something similar to what we did yesterday.. thanks for your support here everyone, love karl (and megan).. .
