  but i was already in my early twenties, and the rank and file were like why don't you get baptised!

  I believe they are talking about the series Dr. Who. They change the doctor every few years. So they were asking which Doctor do you like the best. Or at least I think that is what they are asking.

  That is so sad...I hope his family and friends will be allowed to grieve for him. That sad part is it is considered being spiritually weak to grieve. The number one reason why there is so much mental health issues in the "lie" is due to not being allowed to grieve.

  our congregation had a number of elderly ones who regularly complained that no one ever helped them.

  since the elders didn't really want to be responsible for them, they decreed that the family should help out first.

  Unless publishers can count their time with the sick and elderly it will never change. They do not have time for Christian kindness...it takes away from anyone knowing what they are doing.

  New Scrolls found

  i haven't heard about it, but what about them dead sea scrolls that were found years ago?

  since i haven't seen them yet, i can't help wonder if it's even true that such scrolls were found.

  why are they not out there for the public, i.e.

  The last I heard of any scrolls being found were in 2005. It was from Leviticus, and written on animal skins. Haven't heard anything lately.
