  NWT One Thousand 666 pages cover to cover?!

  talking of 666 barcodes as mentioned in a post below, did you know that the nwt soft cover bible from the inside front cover map to the rear inside cover back page has exactly one thousand 666 pages?

  i always did wonder what the blank pages in the nwt were for.

  possibly to make up numbers?

  Ahhhhhh, the US Constitution......this was probably the very thing the founding Fathers were thinking of when they wrote it.

  I agree with hitting them in the pocketbook. They may spout freedom of this that and the other thing until sales decline then they may reconsider that the price of that kind of freedom is too high.

  The article mentions that just as we call a doctor when we are sick or a fireman if our house is on fire.....

  Think about that. Here's your house going up in flames.....do you call the elders and set up a meeting for next Wednesday night to discuss it so they can set up a time for you to CONFRONT the fire consuming your house?.....do you wait on Jehovah to put it out?

  NO. You don't even think about it --- 9 1 1 is dialed before your brain is even in gear. Your precious house, all your belongings, everything you own that you've worked so hard to get...Most of us pay premiums for fire insurance against this very thing.

  But your child?

  Not as precious evidently.

  the quote above is from a recent news article regarding child rape and jehovah's witnesses.

  i find it a stunning confirmation of exactly how abuse survivors are treated within the jehovahs witnesses community.

  Has the two witness rule now changed to include separate victims of the same molester?

  Madame Blavatsky / Theosophy / Krishnamurti

  i recently read nikita's story and she mentioned that she briefly came across the religion of theosophy in her travels towards of dub-ism @ a young age (thanks nitkita :) .

  her post reminded me of my studies of madame blavatsky, colonel olcott, annie besant, cw leadbeater, etc., the founders of theosophy.

  a book i recommend regarding madanme blavatsky is entitled "madame blavatsky's baboon - a history of the mystics, mediums, and misfits who brought spiritualism to america.

  I actually knew a person for a while who was into Theosophy, but what I know about it isn't much. There was a lot mystical stuff....shockra's? a glow on the hands? A different view of Jesus but I don't remember what it was.

  Clearly the public is not going to understand the difference between someone who "simply leaves the faith" and someone who has disassociated themselves. How does one simply leave the wts if not by disassociation?

  But let's take them at their word. Disassociation is simply leaving the faith. Those who simply leave the faith are not shunned. [This is actually a revisiting of their former position.]

  In my letter I made it clear that I was ceasing to be a member of the wts but not ceasing my relationship with Jehovah and Christ Jesus, nor was I ceasing my relationship with my friends and relatives who were still members of the wts.

  hi,.

  i'm hoping someone can help me.. i'm trying to find quotes from the watchtower publications talking about how the catholics are following men instead of jesus, and how they almost worship the pope, basically any quotes like that where the society condemns the catholics for the same thing the dubs do with the governing body.. thanks :-)
