  In the beginning there was UNIX.

  Then came Microsoft and it seemed good.

  We all had to use it for it formed the very network that connected all information. The only command was to have no other operating systems before it. It was comprised of 3 things, Bill Gates WindowsOS and the Net.

  When Bill spoke it shook the earth and we all quaked with fear and joy.

  As time went on many other OS's appeared, OS2, Mandrake, Debian, and even Red Hat. Some were quite popular, but the masses of humans have continued to follow the false triune Corp. In spite of the difficult upgrades and continual downloads all the way down to the present XP.

  The masses offered up great wealth to the Corp and made great sacrifices of time to do its bidding.

  More recently it was discovered by many loyal truth seeking and upright nerds that UNIX was indeed the origional networking OS and they attempted to reclaim its true glory by competing with XP. They began to release free OS versions. The Triune Corp responded to this by attempting to keep secret all it's innerworkings and to create proprietary hardware such as winmodems and special windows only sound and vedio cards merging it's win stamp onto the actual hardware.

  We are currently in the battle of the great day of "Bill the Almighty" although many Linux systems have survived and are being marketed as "True internet systems" the masses are still very confused as to how they even work.

  The time is now very short. Only a select few of very elite nerds will be saved from the mindless point and click programming placed on mankind by the Triune Corp. This remenant of true networkers in these final last days has joined forces.

  Join in the battle

  Send your contributions to us that we may do battle with the false Corp. and recieve in return a free OS such as Mandrake or Debian. Guarenteed to do almost anything XP can do, but usually won't. You too can spend 1000's of hours attempting to download drivers and get each piece of hardware working. Disposing of your winmodems and falsely configured audio hardware. There is much work to be done and the time is ever short. You may log your hours and send them in monthly, so we may keep a record of your service.

  Lets create our new Net in its true origional UNIX type enviornment, LINUX. Networking should be free and no longer enslaved to the evil Triune Tyrant.

  The day is fastly approaching when everyone will have to make the choice, follow the counterfiet Corp, or seek out the Origional launguage.

  This makes as bout as much sense as Genesis!

  However it does contain a little more pertinent information I think.

  Stopping smoking - any suggestions?

  hi, i smoke, not loads, but i would like to stop.

  i think i will find it really hard though and was wondering how you stopped if you were a previous smoker.

  i also suffer from asthma which obviously doesn't make things any better.

  After 3 days the drug has worn off. Your body gets over it real quick. It is the mind and the emotions that want to go back and smoke. I agree with the people who recommended the "cold turkey" approach as I have seen this work the best. I believe that smoking is an emotional and mental crutch. A place to put your pressures of life. There are other tools you can find to reduce these pressures and bring a quick relief but they are a little harder to achieve.

  You can find a group that is going to do it together, set a date to quit, then view it as passing an exam or achieving a level of profiency at life. Take a class on accupressure and learn to raise your chi, learn breathing techniques that can clear your mind and lower your frustrations. Try yoga and learn to achieve very tranquil states of mind and body. If you are a more intense person try karate, it can become addictive too.

  Lots of ideas to replace what smoking does for you, but they require a little mental programming and a some effort. If you find one that you enjoy then success is almost guarenteed.

  If nothing works then try to enjoy every smoke as if it were your last one, this will at least slow you down a bit and make the smoke into something more conscous rather then just a habit.

  Suing Tobacco companies

  what do you think about all of the lawsuits recently against tobacco companies?.

  i see 3 sides to the issue:.

  1. people should know better; it's clearly printed on the box how dangerous cigarettes are so they shouldn't sue.. 2. it hasn't always been known how bad they were.

  I think you left out one.

  Where did tobacco use come from? The Indians. Has anyone been suing the indians? I think that a lot of the online smoke shops are tax free because they are still owned by the indians.LOL!

  Note I said the above only to show how stupid I think the whole thing really is.

  My ex girlfriend of many years just got married.

  Saw her in the store with the other guy standing where I used to stand. My only consolation is now she looks to be happy, so I send her love and wish for the best.

  Remember there are other fish in the sea. Your life has changed, the next phase may end up being happier then the last.

  what people nickname you can be very telling about your personality and it's funny that they sometimes become more a part of you than your given name.. i have a long list of them..lol!.

  when i was a kid: carrie canary (cause i walked around singing all the time).

  My ex wife called me "late for dinner" I was always involved in some project which took precidence. The brothers at the hall called me "weak brother" cuz my hours were so low. My parents called me "thier worst failure" cuz I left the Org first in the family. But my alltime favorite was "Nija Dave," cuz the guys at work knew I was into karate for 16 years and I almost always wear black clothing. One of my karate people called me "mean" cuz he didn't understand karate forms. Now I call myself "fat boy" cuz I got tired of working out and finally just quit.

  A man becomes a Witness, then gets kicked out, looses his family, his wife and his kids, then comitts suicide......

  Standing at the pearly gates St Peter asks him "What took you so friggin long to get here?"

  Another fellow becomes a Witness, stays faithfull to the Org, looses his wife in a car accident because they won't take a blood transfusion. Loses his kids to other churches and to science and the internet. He dies very old and lonely. Standing at the pearly gates St Peter is nowhere to be seen. So he knocks on the door (gate) and a voice says you will have to go back to the earth and live another life "There is no one home" And besides you have never had a heavenly hope anyway. The guy is furious about this and starts screaming loud and foul threats that Jehovah is going to destroy this place if they don't let him in. Saint Peter steps out and says "Who the #### is Jehovah?" The guy starts explaining that if you just let me in I can teach you all about Jehovah and his wonderfull Organization. Saint peter says Oh you mean us! Then the guy realizes what he just said, stands back and says Oh S###! Are you Gods woman and not us? "Well" St Peter says, "one woman to another," it aint all that great being married to a Celebate Guy now is it?"

  I'm Thinking of Doing Something Drastic

  ok, here's the deal.. way back when i got df'd i kinda went wild.

  started riding motorcycles, wore rock group t-shirts, got 3 earrings in my left ear, got a tattoo, and grew my hair long.

  i had to cut it once back in '93 because my employer said to.

  If you decide to keep it long then you gotta take the time to groom.

  I have hair down to the mid back. When I clean up, put it in a pony tail, and stay well shaved I get far more stairs and far more people talk to me then when it was short.

  Sorry to be odd man out, but thats what I have found in my own case.

  The idea that I need someone else to straighten out my understanding of scripture is a setup for buying into what they have created from the book, not what the book actually says. As far as literal or symbolic interupertations, death and destruction are not something you can really water down by calling them symbolic.

  God is going to slaughter most of mankind if Revelation is true, no way to sidestep this with symbolism. The road to life is cramped and narrow and few are the ones finding it, from Mathew. How can you water this down with symbolism? God is setting up an elite class of people who actually endure to the end and everyone else is pretty much screwed, no way to water this down with symbolic applications, sorry I just don't see it. Jesus says that God will judge all our works, so much for saved by grace that all the born again Christians are preaching, they are ignoring Jesus words in Mathew if they think thier works have no bearing in the issue. I know you are supposed to pray for Gods Spirit so you can read and understand what is there. I feel this is the first time I have read it for what is really there. What is there is not pretty, not comfortable, and not even rational. Read it with your heart I have heard, well God is pretty offensive to say the least, I would weep for those who will suffer for his vengence! I do not believe that any rational God could or would act like a the tyrant portrayed in these pages.

  Sorry if I have offended any here who still put thier faith in the Bible. I think I shall re read the "Shariat Ki Sugamad" next. :)

  I remember at one point in my life believing that the new testament taught Love as the greatest command. For the last week I have been rereading the new testament. Mathew, and Revelation so far. I am about to give the whole book a pitch into the garbage once again. It not only says that few will be saved out of the earth, it also goes into the greatest of detail on how terrible the wicked (most people) will suffer before and then even after they are smitten by God and placed into hell. God is portrayed as a God of vengence, his kingdom is a kingdom of power, and his people and folowers even in heaven spend most of thier time on thier knees with thier faces in the ground. The poor 24 elders of revelation must have very bloody noses from all the bowing thier heads into the ground. Revelation creates the map of a God who delights in destroying, getting even, and then torturing all the supposed wicked people.

  Now I ask why in the world would God create all these people just to end up torchuring and killing them. "A third of the sea became blood."

  Giving all these angels all this power to squash all the worthless people on the planet.

  I used to think that Jesus message was one of love, but he himself states in Mathew he did not come to bring peace to the earth but to cause brother to turn against brother, etc... Right out of Jesus own mouth he pretty much condones wars "holy wars", creates the idea of good guys and bad guys. Everyone on his side is good and everyone else is pretty much bad. Jsus himself leaves no grey area for "intentions."

  Am I just missing something here, or are Mathew, and John just really caught up with power issues. You are either with us or against us, no room for "tolerance."

  Anyone want to try to encourage me to continue reading the Bible? Before I just give it the old toss into the garbage, along with all it's hate, suffering, and preaching of destruction?

  I think there is only one type of person on this here board. And they are trying many things out at different times. Some anger release, some mental thought, some humor, some ridicule, and so on and so forth......
