  well it seems like everybody and their neighbours dog is leaving the board.but for how long?they seem to leave and come back and leave and come back and....you get the picture.so my question is how long will..fill in the blank..take to come back.or will they leave at all?place your bets on this post!now belly up to the bar have a drink and let outlaws sportin ladies entertain you!

  but many of you may not have read it since it was specific to her.. i was planning a long farewell statement because i have a number of things i want to share, but decided i would do that in private if anyone wishes.

  with the 4th anniversary of my parents death looming and the anniversary of their last wedding anniversary party where my family was together and happy for the last time just being past ....i was feeling kind of depressed and wanted to reach out to what family i have left.

  i sat there and debated in my mind if i should do it...should i try and reach out to my sister..see if i could reach her across the barrier of the jw religion.

  should i try to remind her that we are sisters...we were sisters before we became jws and we will always be sisters.

  Suicide and This and That .....

  how many of you have really gone through suicidal feelings, when you felt that no-one at all was out there to try to assist you?

  did it help you to be told by so called friends, 'just pull your socks up!

  ' did you feel that such admonition was really daft and stupidly uncaring?

  Celtic, I can't say that I have never thought about suicide, that would be a lie. But, I always look at the bright side. I say to myself that it can't always be this bad, since I have had many good times in my life so it has to get better again.

  As far as being mean spitited to someone who claims they are going to take their life. Never could I do this. Most times people say they are going to kill themselves but are really reaching out for help. That is what we need to try and do. Help them.

  What if say, someone made a habit of threatening to kill themselves and never followed through on that threat? That does not mean that one day they wouldn't do it. I for one would not want the guilt of not trying to have had comforted that person. You can't know what a person is thinking/feeling.

  So, I will always try to be loving to anyone and everyone, even if it is just that, a threat. People are to precious. I love them all. Even when they do not love me.

  How Many "Householders" Did You Bring...

  just curious...after a long discussion with my mother on her 34 year career as a faithful jw, i asked her how many people she brought in, not counting my sister, myself, my father?

  4 in 34 years.

  since i started going door to door at age 5 until age 18, i never had a bible study with anyone.

  Unfortunately, because of me, my then best friend is now a dub. We worked together and I always talked to her about the 'truth', then finally I asked her to go to a meeting with me. She speaks spanish so I took her to the Spanish congrgation in her town. That's all she wrote, from that time on she started studying with one of the Spanish speaking members.

  I also got my best friend in the whole world, Mattie, to start studying with them, but I am trying to help her know that it was all a big mistake. I think she is starting to believe me. I don't want to lose her, we have been friends for 17 years.

  Keep you fingers crossed for me.

  my cousin's brother sends a card...grrrrr

  my cousin, sharon, who died in september.......was disfellowshipped three years ago.

  her brother is still a witness, and wrote a thank you card to an elder in the congregation here.

  this elder and his wife came to visit sharon a few days before she died, and before she started to lose her ability to make sense when she talked.

  i re-discovered annie haslam after having listened to her on a new age station years ago.

  i just downloaded several tunes, and am in love all over again.. now, i'm a hard rocker by nature it seems, but there's a few artists like annie haslam and enya that just make me melt.. any others out there i should know about?.
