Were you Stalked or Chased After Once you Exited the JW's by Elders ?
by flipper ini tried to fade off the map by moving 30 miles initially in 2004 after i exited in late 2003 .
the first several years they didn't bother me.
i ran into a elder from my former congregation in late 2005 in an antique store - he tried telling me i was wrong for stopping attending meetings.

Yes I was for awhile but all the stalking/chasing has ceased down alot, I left the JW's at the time in a very over the top way, I never faded, I just all of a sudden up and left, I had alot of JW friends on facebook, on Feb 7th, 2011 when I woke up after reading Crisis of Conscience I posted on my facebook page right out there in the open in front of all the JW's that I was going to a different church and even posted in front of all the JW's on the churches facebook page, at the time my mind was not clear when I woke up and I was angry about being lied to all my life, if I would have done it differetnly I would have faded.
To get to the stalking part, my sister is married to an elder, I remember this one time when I was parking at the post office I saw him park right next to my vehicle and walk the other direction and then there was numerous other ocasssions where I see his car in the same area as where I was driving, also during the memorial in April there was a memorial tract left in my door after coming home from work.

Anxiety is my top, troubled by thoughts that can't get ridden of, overall though I am alot more happier, I now see the world in 3D, COLOR, and FREEDOM!!!!!!!!!!! "Feeling on top of the world"
I like to also mention that I learned something about psychology, I remember the exact time I woke up, for a few weeks I suffered every single emotion, my supervisor at work sent me to counseling because everyone at work could see something was wrong, I told my counslor what i was going through but she didn't really want to get into religion part of things, this is what dawned on me about psychology:
Lets say I was a psycholisgt, one very important key is you need to learn to walk in the other persons shoes, try to get into their mind on how they feel about things, try your best to understand the other person, the reason I say this the counslor that I got sent to she was only view it as if I physcially left the JW religon and she didn't even understand the mental part, thats where a person needs to walk in the other persons shoes, overall it took me 6 months to recover and I had to do this mostly all on my own.

We can all learn alot from kids, when they are young they want to be out enjoying life, they are very curious about their world around them, if I ever have kids I am going to let them decide their spiritual path later in life but just am going to make sure they stay away from the JW cult, thats one I will educate them about so they don't fall in the same trap.
Today I view religion with a balanced view, every Sunday I look foward to going to church and worshiping the creator but also at the same time I have hobbies, I get involved in my hobbies, and then I have work, sometimes I work alot of hours and have to miss church or also sometimes something comes up with my hobbies and I miss church, its all about having a balanced view, God wants all of us to enjoy life, live life like its meant to be lived and not under what someone thinks.

Also about earthquakes I have an app on my android phone, earthquake alert, every day there is over a dozen earthquakes, the earth has been shaking since its beginning, also this app on my cell phone tells the depth at which the earthquake is, theres so many factors to take into consideration that the Watchtower Society misses.

Maybe we are perfect?
by angel.face ini'm relatively 'new' to the concept of thinking for myself....coming to the conclusion that what i thought was 'the truth' simply isn't brought on many questions for me.... i find it hard to let go of the idea that there is a god, but at the same time i question his existence.. .
just a thought that i had today which i would like to share: .
taking into account the universe and the perfect harmony that exists within it... think about the human body... some of the perfect harmony that we see in the universe we can see in the functions of our bodies.

Encouraging sigleness
by Dudu indo you think is one of the unhealthy teachings among the wt?
i mean humans has been created with emotional and physical needs that relationships provide, right?.
-
andys
The churches that I have gone to so far have not even mentioned singleness, Watchtower Society is about the only one I can think of, I do see the benefits of being single, even on $10 an hour I am able to support myself, on the flip side this is off topic somewhat, the very first time I got disfellowshipped I had a girlfriend outside the society, she wanted to meet my parents, but my parents told me they would call the police if I brought her over, how stupid is that, I could have wound up married but the JW religion complicates everything, now that I am considered apostate by family if I ever did meet a girl I would not be able to introduce her to my parents.

I finally lost respect for the New World Bible Translation
by Quarterback inthat paragraph in last week's watchtower was sure an eye opener for me, and i have spoken with many friends in the congregation about it as well.. we are not pleased with that rendering , "mentally deseased", in that verse in timothy.
they are calling my very close family member who has da herself that name.
just because doehe/she doesn't agree with all of the org teachings.. it is also an abuse of power from those sitting in a corporation to sanction this evil, hate comment.
