Rutherford and the new DVD
by truthlover incan anyone tell me why rutherford is not shown giving a talk or speaking in public?
i noticed that russell was on film in the first dvd -out of darkness but rutherford was shown in a picture only - never speaking or doing a public presentation, same goes for the second one -they have an actor portraying him... was there a reason?
was his persona that bad?

He described in detail about the progression of the great tribulation and how it will happen in 3 phases, similar to the progression of the 1st century attack on the city of Jerusalem.
So those pagan Romans were actually under the direction of Jehovah. The Almighty guided their actions so that He could then use the same formula for the Great Trib. It's all becoming clear to me, now.
He said we will have to wait and see who attacks us then we will know who the King of the North will be.
Ho Ho Ho ! We will wait until it happens , then tell you who it is....Any fool could see who it is after the event. I thought that they were supposed to be able to know in advance.

This still gets me. So, according to this my grandpa and I are the same generation. Uh, yeah, he's usually the first one I think of when I hear "generation X" or "y" or "z".

Wow, how things change when you start thinking for yourself! As others have commented, we would have eaten this all up when we were still in. It's exciting to read something like this and see it for the gobble-dee-gook it really is.

I hate them.
by Paul Duda inmy 82 years old catholic father does everything for his 6 kids .. watch their children, fix their car, lend them thousands of dollars without any expectation of return.
helps them when they're sick.
on call twenty four hours a day for his spoiled kids.

J dubs can justify anything they can personally benefit from, but can't seem to justify anything that would require them to do something for someone else. It's disgusting, really.
Of course, they'll say, "We don't need a special day to . . ." Ya, but do they really show their love and appreciation all year? I can only hope they do.
Give your father a pat on the back for me. He sounds like he's a pretty great guy.

Does anyone know about the 2010 songbook?
by aristeas ini only recently found out that there was a new songbook 'released' last year.
i came in under the old pink flexi-cover one.
then in 1984 that oversized 225 song brown one came out.

At least the members of the Black churches have an excuse: racism. JW's are there by choice!
