ruderedhead Thanks for your kind words. I know you get how I feel. I too felt I was missing out on communion all those years at the kingdom hall doing the memorial.

Bergengaria Pagan? I guess JW's would think I'm a pagan. I am sort of esoteric, in my beliefs, but presently I don't label myself as in a certain belief system. I have a strong feeling toward the Christ Consciousness.

still thinking Yes I do lean toward Gnostic way of beliefs, and find may of the Christian Gnostics writings very interesting. I have integrated a lot of the phylosophy into my own inner knowing of what I personally believe to be true for myself.

finally awake, thank you for the information. I haven't been to that website you recommended. Actually I have visited the Top 10 reasons to return to the Catholic Church website, and enjoyed a lot of what it said. It's funny how I came upon that website. I was feeling this longing for communion during this time of year, and one day a commercial came on TV about "Catholics Come Home". So, I went to that website. I just don't believe all of their teachings either, but I feel that way about all organized religion.

Ok, it's that time of year. The Memorial is coming up. I've been out for over 10 years. The whole idea of the Memorial repulses me. But I was brought up in Catholic Schools and raised as a Catholic before coming into the cult of JW's. I've gone back to celebrating and enjoying the Holidays over the years since being out. Now, during the season of Lent, I am longing for the Eucharist. This is a really special time of year for practicing Catholics, and I am feeling that I want to be there participating in Christian celebration again.

Are there any former Catholics here who have these longings?

Seriously, the whole Memorial Celebration and Adam's loss of perfection because of sin is not true if you like to look at it from the Gnostic Christian point of view. The Apocryphon of John has Jesus discussing the creation of humans by evil Yaldabaoth and other demons, not the True God.

I've read that the evil god created organic matter and chaos, resulting in the other dark forces, chaos, . Wasn't this dark force eventually Yahweh? does explain the evil punishing god of the Old Testament, and why that evil god is not named by Christ in the new testament.

Not fearing Armageddon

some time ago i was granted some understanding about 'armageddon', and so i am sharing it with you.

i should have shared it when i first received it from our lord.. there is nothing to fear if you are not riding out to make war against someone.

satan deceives the nations and gets them to march against those who belong to christ and god.

I do not fear "Armegeddon" I don't even fear the "2012" predictions. I believe there are other realms and planes we haven't yet experienced, and that "True God" and his Christ will always wrap us in their light. Shana

I Was Offered A Bible Study By The Elders

2 elders, the cobe and his sidekick, a former bethelite and a young ms (elder in waiting) stopped by my mom's home while i was visiting with her.

they were very congenial and eventually asked me if i got invited to the memorial and whether they could arrange a future visit with me and a possible study.

i thanked them and told them i appreciated their invitation but that i was going to "pass at this time" but thanked them for their concern.. they recited a "wonderful experience" about a young man that was raised in the "truth" but wanted out so he decided to go to asia where he could not be found by witnesses.

minmus Your whole experience with them was just another way they've victimized you with thier Jehovah BS. I don't agree with those telling you to have a study with them. Why should you even subject yourself to them again. They really are spirtual perpetrators. If they try to talk to you again on a "return visit" to push the study, in my opinion, just say not thanks, I don't have time or some other excuse, or they will never stop approaching you. Ugh they are so sickening!!!

I think WT leadership is a hateful entity and a reflection of the darkness that is there god, the ancient Jewish triblal gods that being Yahweh. They believe they have the "truth" and like to use sharp words like knives and stones to murder and " put to death" spiritually speaking, anyone who challenges their perverted belief system. They don't reflect the light of Christ and the light that was within you when you saw the darkness in them. Be glad you're away from this dark punishing perverted religion that is like a diseased parasite sucking the life out of their congregations of followers. You have a light within you, Barb, so don't waste your goodness and light on their darkness. I'm so sorry they've robbed you of the joy of your grandson. I very much admire all that you do in behalf of those who have been hurt buy the teachings of this cult.
