  Sanctify Gods name

  ok so thats what jesus said we must do, so the question at hand is, does going around the world telling people that gods name is jehovah does this really sanctify his name, really????

  so if i went around my town and told every one that satans name is lucifer will this make satan holy?

  is this what jesus was taking about jw's, think about it.

  Jesus never preached the name jehovah and it's not found in the New Testament. He preached the law of love which is Gods will the we love one another.

  He was saying that the whole message of the Old Testament came down to loving one another and God. That's why He also said that He wasn't coming to abolish the old law, but to fulfill it.
  
  If you love God and other people, you will by definition be following everything else that was taught as God's will for you.

  I want to apply the PIVOT towards them, but not in a way that would give them any satisfaction in feeling justified for believing that I am the evil one, or the poor little shunned one who starves for their attention to at least say a hello., I've often fantacized about going up to them at their stupid literature table where they Pioneer sit reading magazines. then I tell them that I forgive them for their unChristian conduct towards me and others they've shunned, and will pray that God forgives them also, and just keep walking. I wish posters here would give some Pivot suggestions.

  I believe the Creator is an Androgenous being. Male-Female and has an only begotten Son (the Christ) Father, Mother Son a Trinity aspect. I have taken this information from the "Secret Book of John" (the text is a long dialogue between Jesus and John son of Zebedee) Click here: The Secret Book of John (Apocryphon of John) The Father is surrounded by light. He apprehends Himself in that light (which is the pure spring of the water of life that sustains all realms). He is conscious of His image everywhere around Him. Perceiving His image in this spring of Spirit pouring forth from Himself He is enamored of the image He sees in the light-water. The spring of pure light-water enveloping Him. His self-aware thought (ennoia) came into being. Appearing to Him in the effulgence of His light. She appeared before Him. This then is the first of the powers, prior to everything that is. Arising out of the mind of the Father, She is the Providence of everything. Her Light the reflection of Him. She is from His Light, Perfect in Power She is the Image of Him the Invisible Spirit. She is the Universal Womb, She is before everything, She is: the Mother-Father, First Man, Holy Spirit. Androgenous Eternal Realm, First to arise among the invisible realms. The Sprit Father looked into Her (the Pure Light surrounding the Invisible Sprit) She bore a spark of light Who had blessedness similar to but not equal to Her blessedness. Who was the only Child of that Mother-Father. The only offspring, The only begottten child of the Pure Light, the Father.

  The Invisible Spirit celebrated the light that had been produced coming for the from the First Power, She who is The Providence (forethought).

  He stood in teh Spirit's presence and it was poured upon him

  Having received this anointing from the Spirit he immediately glorified Him and he glorified the perfect Providence. Because of Her he had com into being.

  He asked for Mind (nous) to be a companion to him. The Spirit consented.

  When the Invisible Spriti consented Mind came into being. It stood by the Anointed and glorified the Spirit and She who is Forethought.

  Mother, Son, these beings came into existence through the silence and thought of the Invisible Spirit. (Father-Mother, Son )

  He (the Son) wished to act through the Word of the Invisible Spirit., Whose Will became an action and appeared with Mind Glorifying the Light.

  And the Word followed Will into being. (The Christ, Divine autogenes, created everything through the Word).

  Everlasting Life and Will, Mind and Foreknowledge stood together. They glorified the Invisible Spirit and Providence.

  Because of Her they had come into being.

  The Holy Spirit brought His and Her divine autogenes Son to completion in order that he could stand before the great Invisible Spirit as the divine augenes, Christ and honor him with a mighty voice. (the Son came through Providence).

  The Invisible Spirit placed the Son over everythng. All authorities were subordinated to him. The truth within him let him learn everything.

  He is called by the highest name of all. That name will be told only to those who are worthy to hear it from the Light, which is the Christ.

  for all those atheists or agnostics or maybe christian science people--what are some great sites to explore our existence, the universe, bible history and archaeology, pretty much all one needs to make a decision on their beliefs.

  lets show the lurking jws that we can collaborate on something, and help a confused fading jw (me) explor his options and actually research.

  What If ?

  I have been reading everybody's post. I just want to add; What if the Bible God Jehovah is not really the loving god all think he is? What if this Jehovah god was created by an "androgenous" being and was created away from the entirety of the True God, and what if this jehovah god was created or emanated from the shadow or darkness rather than the light, and so was in a sense a "blind god" thinking he was the only creation,and in his ignorance and his arrogance he said, with his power, "It is I who am God; there is none apart from me." When he said this, he sinned against the entirety And this speech got up to incorruptibility; then there was a voice that came forth from incorruptibility, saying, "You are mistaken, Samael" - which is, "god of the blind." and went on to create others who were dark and blind like himself and he created more darkness, corruption and chaos which resulted the creation of matter and our own universe, which is entirely made up of matter. Then what if he and all his other created beings also took part in his desire to create matter and chaos, and that after the earth was created, they decided to take physical matter and mold it into molded beings which resulted in their creation of human? What if this dark blind god said to the other beings he created already "let us make man in our image"? What if after the first humans were molded from the earth, but had no spark of life yet, This was all being watched by the androgenous god as well as all other beings in the Pleroma of the True God?

  Terry, everything you have said is absolutely right, and I agree with all you've said about them. As i read I couldn't wait to get to the Power of the Pivot part and when I did it was kind of a let down, because I really really want to give it back to them. I literally hate running into them because of their superior authoritative attitude. It really sucks. A few years ago when I went into therapy after I left and got disfellowshipped I discussed this with my therapist. I had stopped going to meetings while still pioneering and after staying away for almost 2 years, 2 elders called us up to tell us they were forming a judicial committee for apostacy charges. Can you believe this? It''s like deciding to quit your job and after two years your employer calls you up to tell you that your fired! I wanted to shun them first because I was revulted by even going back into a a kingdom hall. But they disfellowshipped us anyway. So anyway, discussing this with my therapist he said "you were a person of integrity before you met them and you left them because of your integrity. They have no integrity" When he said that to me I realized that I already knew I was a good person when I started studying with them and years after I was still that good person, and when I chose to leave that cult, I was still the good person I was when I met them. I left them because I have intergrity. I know none of them are worth my friendship any longer, especially knowing the way we were treated by them. But, my therapist said that when you walk by them and they shun you, they commit the act of perpetration against you, they bully, or mentally murder you in their eyes. I said to him that If I walk up to them and say hi as I walk past them to show them that I don't go along with their shunning beliefs, it still doesn't matter because they can still carry on the Shunning perpetration. They are the aggresor no matter what. It's kind of a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation. I was so much a better friend to all of them than any of them ever were to me.

  Mother Forces 5 Year-Old Son To . . .

  can anyone here, lay person or professional describe or give insights into the effects the following has on a child?.

  when my friend, the middle child of 3 siblings, was five years old, his mother took him by the hand and led him to the house where his father was having an affair with another woman.

  she opened the door to confront her husband who was actually in the act of having sex with the other woman, and deliberately exposed her young son to this drama.. .

  Zandor - This mother is guilty of sexual abuse by simply exposing her baby 5 yr old to the graphic sexual behavior of her husband with this other women. Also, the fact that this child was later sexually abused explains why he is so sexually disfunctional now, especially since he never go the phycological help he needed and was never protected by his mother.

  Anyone Celebrating Halloween this Year???

  i started yesterday.

  took the kids (they were both princesses) and my nephew to 3 different events.

  got tons of candy and the kids had a blast.. .

  Though I respect everyone’s right to celebrate the holiday, I personally won’t let my kids celebrate it. Mainly for the following two reasons:

  1. It originates from a pagan holiday
  2. it involves spirits, ghosts, scaring people, and enjoying violence

  The idea of celebrating as a family around such a theme goes against the morals I am trying to bring to my kids. I don’t mind for them to get a custom and eat candies. But no way they’ll go door to door and curve up pumpkins.

  ecan6 - When I left the WT cult, I had felt the same way you do. I wanted my daughter to enjoy the holidays but I was having a paritcularly hard time feeling comfortable in my mind abou Halloween. I was in therapy at the time and shared this with my therapist. He also had pictures I had previously given him from the WT publicatons of scary images of beasts with blood dripping, churches burning, and dead little girl and puppy among other horrible pictures and he asked me a question,. Do I feel worse about these pictures and what they were used for, or the little ballerina and princess at the door with their little trick or treat bag. That moment I never felt bad about trick or treating again. I felt bad over what that cult was putting into my little girls' head.

  50 years of children dying for the Watchtower.

  i'm sure there may be earlier accounts of jehovah's witness children dying due to the watchtower's evil blood policy but i came across this one and had to post it.

  boys and girls like renate gross have suffered and died for decades with no real end in sight.

  we may not know them but we should never forget them - i don't think any of us here do.. .
