I'm surprised some are, but then, you never know if those people will make it out. Some are more liberal-minded and this is good to say the least. Sometimes, it's those kind of people who wake up. I think many of us who are out now kind of thought like that before we left.

How Many of Them Do You Know About?
by clarity inafter flipper's thread about the wt child abuse cases, i started to think about how many children i know of personally who have been sexually abused by a jw!.
as someone who is not especially 'in the know', it's amazing that i do know five of them.
one who was a small baby, at the time!.

Is this a forum for JW issues or a poorly designed political and celebrity site?
by Band on the Run init appears to me that even in the few months that i have been here there is less and less emphasis on jehovah's witnesses and anything remotely related to jws and more very poor posts about politics, foreign affairs and celebrities.
i can't omit the juvenile sex ones, which i find lacking in erotic nature.
it seems the 6th grade boys are meeting in the locker room.. the posts that involve jws have a very different tone from the drivel posted on others.

Well, here's the thing. It's a forum for JWs (really exxers), and we just have more to talk about than the WT screwing us over sometimes. The universe offers us many topics for discussion other than Dubworld, it's just that the people on this forum have had INVOLVEMENT with the WT and want to meet up and socialize with others who share that in common.

by keyser soze inmusicians that are considered iconic, that people look at you funny when you say how much you hate them?.
personally, i've never been able to stand ac/dc.
besides the lead singer's whiny, annoying voice that sounds like nails on a chalk board, there's nothing at all to the music.

Let's see...who do I hate? I hate a lot of the new pop-rock/hip-hop stuff. And I kinda hate Kings of Leon. So much suck. Even rock, where ever the heck it is to be found these days, isn't even that great now. Almost everything I listen to is from the 70s, 80s, or 90s. The metal, anyway. AC/DC is okay, they have some good songs, but I don't like the guy's voice. Same thing for Guns N Roses. It's not so much the music, it's the voice. And I like the Scorpions, but all of their songs sound the same. They just sound good, so they all sound like the same good thing. And mudvayne is the same way. I don't really care for Megadeth. They're okay, but Metallica's better. Still, Metallica is only good if I'm in the right mood.

I was more of a skeptic. A couple of things I always thought were kind of wrong were staying away from worldly friends and not having a beard. Other than that, I really did believe. Those two things just never really sat right with me.

I have noticed that the WTS is very careful not to give much detail about what an apostate idea might be. That is no accident. The WTS does not want their members looking into the publications to verify these ideas....might find out they are right.
I remember Paul saying that some were teaching that the resurrection had already occurred and that the Christians were already reigning as kings. Now that is specific.
Yep. Aknowledge and dismiss. They do that with all information from the "world." Skeptics point to bible innacuracies...this is unfounded. Evolutionists believe X, but the Truth found in God's word the Bible says Y. Apostates raise objections to what is printed in the mags...they are evil and full of crap...
