Hilary:
A couple of years ago there were some side notes to add to the Flock book. They highlighted that an elder could remain on the body, on the judgement of the body. Hence another breeding ground for disparity was introduced.

Part 4: The Last KM School
by Amazing inpart 4: the last km school .
the average jw elder participates in extra exclusive activities over and above the rank & file jw: among them are the judicial committees, private meetings with the circuit and district overseer on various official occasions, possession of the secretive flock book, and kingdom ministry school.. of all these, the least frequently experienced is km school.
it is not all that exciting, because much of what is covered is admonition about what most jws already know that elders are supposed to be doing: examples in field service, regular shepherding calls, meeting preparation and attendance, study with the family, etc.

Unrighteous Disfellowshiping ?
by ElijahTheThird inwhy is it so many lay the blame on god for the appointment of elders?
read your bibles!
it is the anointed amongst you that are to appoint elders, but the anointed are to judge!

Wow, did you ever go off of the deep end!!!
I'm sorry to say that disparaging the grammar, spelling and language constructs of a poster really takes the biscuit.
You have not so much made a fool of ETT's comments as made an ass of yourself for taking debate down to such a low level.
Did you pray for direction on that post, or just let the man of flesh out of the box?You were merely asked what the situation would be with one who demonstrated no attitude of regret.
To address your post, might I ask for your references (I have a bible, so I don't need the text posting) for the procedure that you prescribe. I'm especially struggling with point five on your list of steps to salvation. I would really like to see this point rephrased, as I cannot comprehend it, in it's current form.

Hi RF,
Before I go any further I want to just state that I thoroughly enjoy your posts. Any comments that I add to this thread are out of mere enjoyment in joining the discussion, rather than taking a dogmatic stance.
How about I throw in the balance thing.
Knowledge may have become a plus, but death and misery were a definite minus.
I take on board your comments on dubdom. It has caused me much heartache and strife in my own home, but I wouldn't really like to contemplate a return to ignorance.
Should we ponder the state of Adam and Eve's ignorance? Was the pronouncement on Eve a punishment or a prophesy, do you think?

Info re: Removal from KHs, assemblies.....
by TheApostleAK inthe attendants would probably look to an elder for permission to remove him.. i don't know about overseas, but in australia they can't remove you from meetings cos if they touch you then that is considered assault.
before last convention jw's were instructed repeatedly not to touch anyone who caused trouble at meetings/conventions but instead to surround the person(s) and call the police.
the speaker doing the talk in the service meeting virtually yelled the "do not" part.. ps in the 40's there was a convention in adelaide and "apostates" rushed the stage and as they rushed the stage a j.w.

A couple of years ago I saw a guy physically lifted by the flood of attendants that flocked onto the football pitch, and carried bodily off in a horizontal position.
Behind me a similarly clued up woman was crying "don't touch him, don't touch him!". -

You have two cows.
You sell them both to further the interests of the borg.
You give a good chunk of the proceeds to the borg to clear your conscience of the literature that you have been "freely" given to distribute.
You live off the remaining proceeds until you realise that you have become empoverished.
You see the two cows that you previously owned die, even though "Million's now living..."
You find that the "milk of the word" that you have been force fed has gone decidedly sour.
The final straw comes when the latest magazines indicate that it is all your fault that you took the borg's words so literally, when there really must have been a symbolic meaning that eluded you. -

Question...
Following your line of reason, how did "man" become more godlike through eating the fruit?
I really don't see how he acquired more power.
Further, the words were to the woman, who actually became subservient to a domineering husband. I don't see how the direct recipient of these words became godlike, either, let alone the race of man who became enslaved to death. -

The numbers partaking are increasing.
Maybe some, who found their reasoning ability stolen by the literature, didn't partake.
Maybe some feared retribution.
Maybe some were secretly convinced that the groundless date, 1935, must be accurate. The fact is that the numbers are increasing and recent years has shed light on that fact, as more become enboldened. The numbers might have increased faster, had not many become disillusioned and abandoned the sinking "ark".
Whilst the Wt & g continue to re-hash the same old, same old, many others claim to receive insight - at the same time. With the advent of the WWW, many gather together to discuss these insights, which previously would have been impractical.
It seems the GB may have been left in the dust and may be jealous of the 11th hour workers. Has their oil run out, like foolish virgins?
Have they proved to be more like the "evil slave" that Matthew continues to write about in chapters 24 and 25 of his gospel? The argument for imposing 1st century authority stands upon the gifts of "Apostles". Strange that the authority should be claimed, whilst the source of the assigning (the Holy Spirit) should be claimed to have ceased operation in that way.
I wouldn't be so dogmatic as to apply this, in this instance, but have you ever heard of the saying:
"The lunatics are running the assylum"? -

I'm afraid we don't have a president, but he'd get my vote for "Prime Minister".
I'm blown away at how well written his reply was. Can't you just tell that he's a writer by profession? -

this seems to suggest that because the wt has told you some truth they are worthy of your complete confidence that everything they say is the truth.

Might I ask the reference, to check the context (although you appear to have done a fine job).
Thanks, in advance. -

Ever been counciled for doing a craft??
by lydia incoming from central pa - i get to see lots of quilts - and i have started to quilt myself - although i recieved lots of council about spending the long hours alone on a quilt ( the brother apparently never heard the words "quilting bee" ) i finally quit doing them for a while because of the pressure i was getting..... finnally when i realized that i needed to do some form of craft as a stress reducer ( from all the pressure from the borg) i told the elders where to go - and also said " i'd be happy to quit quilting - are you going to pay for the pyschiatri help and the meds they may prescribe??
this is therapy for me!!".
it shut him up for a bit.. .
