  does christ's ramsom cater for extraterestials?

  during his three days death he visited the spirits in prison who came to earth during noah's day, as in jude 1. the word angel is an old english word for 'angle' which means 'the keepers of the angles' and are also extra-terrestials, hence aliens.

  in the bible book of genesis 11:7 god said "let 'us go down' to confuse their languages".

  England (UK) was previously known as the land of the Angle's, with a whole section of the country still bearing the name East Anglia.
  You'll also find this in the French name for English - Anglais.
  I also understand that English is one of the more difficult languages to pick up.
  It also finds itself in the Northern Hemisphere.

  Now if the message was to go to England, as represented as heaven, does this make bonnie Scotland the heaven of the heavens, since it is even more Northward?

  I imagine Englishman may have something to say about that .

  Calvinist theology and JW beleifs

  i heard calvinist theology and jw beleifs are very similair, including aggresive door to door preaching, limited number go to heaven, exclusion of non-members and isolation, etc.

  anyone fill me in more?

  im sick and feel too blechy to research it myself.

  Justin has proposed the view of the Hyper-Calvinists, who took Calvin's viewpoints and ran with them to an extreme corner.

  ChristFollower rightly pointed out that JW's are much closer to the Arminian viewpoint, which is diametrically opposed to that of Calvin.

  As with so many things, the truth is probably somewhere in between.

  FYI, I am currently attending a Calvinist church. Scotland is part of the heart of the Protestant Reformation.

  Reasons Sir Cliff Richard never became a JW

  sir cliff richard is one of the singers universally loved by the 40+ generation (certainly here in the uk) ... that is unless that 40+er is one of jehovahs witnesses.. doubtless there are some jws who do enjoy cliffs music, but i have always been surprised by the widespread dislike of him within the jw community.. this is in stark contrast to the widespread love for his former band - the shadows - the presence of one of their cds being a feature in a very high percentage of british jw homes.. reason quoted to me.

  when i first came into the truthtm in the early 80s, it was explained to me that cliff had connections with jws (if i remember right - his mother and sister were baptised).. cliff had shown an interest in the truthtm, had a bible study with hank and had been to many meetings.

  he had allegedly been spotted at one of our districts conventions at twickenham, walking around in a bright pink suit.

  Try, also, that he became a born again Christian.
  That's kinda guaranteed to stop one becoming a JW.

  As for his songs, they are no worse than much of the drivel that's purveyed as pop songs, these days.

  As for being ignored, the facts speak differantly, as they were mobbed by the young sisters. Maybe the revisionist history also extends to details about those that don't join, for reasons best known to themselves. That would hardly be new, now, would it.

  Knew those boys when they were on the Circuit (and before, in the case of Brian).
  Can't speak for England, though.
  I know some names, but not where they serve.

  Hey, the 80's were pretty wild, after the mellow 70's.
  At least people remember them, unlike the 60's.

  Nice prayer, I think that deserves place of honour in the top ten suggested prayers, from this site.

  Hillary:

  I had a few friends, in the 80's funnily enough, who abused them and suffered from seriously receded hairlines.

  The Way to a Man's Heart....

  come on guys fess up....do you want a woman who can cook?

  personally i love cooking...something about being in a hot kitchen...kneading bread...the way it feels under your hands...then sticking it in a hot oven and watching it rise...slathering butter all over it and eating it with your fingers...uuummm is there anything better?

  I like to take the holistic approach.
  A union of heart, mind and soul.
  The key is passion and a zest for life.
  If you haven't got that in any or all aspects of life, how can you get true enjoyment and satisfaction from anything?

  I think that cooking up trouble is an equal opportunities thing.
  As for a meal, it would have to be a lasagna (all those layers). It takes plenty of preparation, but makes a perfect compliment to that fresh bread.
  Oh, and perhaps a tossed salad, on the side. After all, so much is in the presentation, whatever anyone says.
  Don't even get me started on dessert, but it would have to involve chocolate.
