  hi folks,.

  i'm just sort of taking role call to all those x-dubs who are now brothers and sisters in christ.

  i think it is wise for us to rise up and be counted so that we know who each other are.

  In view of Eph.4:11-16 would you say you are building up the body and assisting those who have been "carried about with every wind of doctrine"?
  Alternatively, would you say that you are having a little difficulty discerning those who are new to the faith, and are running the risk of beating your fellow slaves?

  The real question is, can you learn from this experience?

  i'm not trying to hijack anything, but i just thought it was worth drawing any visitors-to-the-board's attention to the u.n.scandal.so they cannot write off the paedophile issue as 'human failing', and realise that there is something deeply wrong here.

  i hope my point is getting across here, i am not trying to minimise the paedophile issue at all, it is truly horrendous!

  and my heart goes out to all victims.i believe any jws whose blind faith in the gb might have been tweaked lately should also know the truth about the u.n. thing, that's all.thanks.

  I expressed opinion, charged you not to hurt the little ones, and stated my belief that you discredit the gospel (which is more to do with your unfortunate manner than your doctrinal stance).

  I see that you have continued to avoid my questions and scriptual quotes.
  For this cause I will answer but one question:
  "Bona Dea and Plum are not your sisters in Christ if you truly hold on to the biblical doctrine of salvation as layed out by the Westminster Confession of Faith. How can you say these that they are your sisters and at the same time 100% hold to this doctrine"
  I could re-quote any one of a number of points in your cut'n'paste of the confession, but instead I shall quote Acts 16:31:
  "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house."

  Have you so quenched the Holy Spirit that you can no longer tell whom are your brothers and sisters in Christ?

  Have you become so entrenched in the words of men that you ignore the simple professions of faith from the little ones?

  Have you become so engourged on books and learning that you have lost the simple message of the gospel in the process?

  Have you become so involved in higher learning that you have forgotten the simple things?

  I can be as legalistic a wordsmith as the JW's who trained me.
  I could attack with the best of the "fire and brimstone" ministers of Scotland (btw, the Tron is CofS, not FC, notwithstanding which they have an excellent minister).
  I could give you a list of my credentials, as did the Apostle Paul to the superfine apostles.

  HERE'S WHAT JW ELDERS DO TO LITTLE GIRLS

  they question her, in private, all alone with her.... then the questioning keeps breaking down the little girl, so she crys, and they watch, making her describe every detail of the sex act......while she crys..... they want more exact details of where here tounge was............. while she crys....... then they go to a room for 5 min and come back and tell her she doesn't have 2 witnesses, and that she should just keep quite about the matter.. and if she says anything about the matter at all, she will be punished........."then"... she has to go "home" and face "daddy" the "petophile"...... daddy is kind of mad.... do you get the picture yet????????????????????????????????????.

  meanwhile daddy is asked to give a part on the assembly.. and little girl has learned to not tell-on daddy........ever again, or she might "die".

  I was a JW elder, and I never did that, nor saw anyone else conduct themselves that way.
  Any statistic would be complete speculation.

  As someone who received the strap, at school, I know only too well that spankings were not just a thing found in KH's.

  There's no excuse for molestation (and my personal belief is that they should be strung up by their b*lls), but lets stays focused here, huh?

  I'm sorry Clash, but I feel obliged to ask, have you really missed the point entirely?

  Our Lord demonstrated the spirit of the law, and we are encouraged to enter into the spirit of things, rather than fall on the rocks of legalism and judgementalism.

  I feel obliged to lay a command upon you: "Stop hurting my little sisters!"

  Like it or not we are teamed up already, as members of the body of Christ.
  I would categorically state that my "church" is an invisible one, not hindered by titles such as "Free Church", etc.
  Since you haven't answered any of my questions, I don't yet feel obliged to answer any of yours.
  You appear to be proof positive that evangelism cannot be learned from a book.

  A few texts for you to peruse - don't just scan them, but read the context also, and prayerfully meditate on the message that I am trying to impart to you:
  Matt.12:20 also verse 25.
  1Cor.4:4, 5.
  1Cor.9:21.

  If not, then you really do have an unfortunate way of expressing yourself. You come across to me as a dogmatic know-it-all, with no humility. I very much doubt that this is how you are in person.

  I ask because of your comments to Andi, which were a little picky, to say the least.
  You seem intent on making all your Christian brothers and sisters pull their socks up. This is not why we are on this forum.

  Have you never heard of praying as if it were 100% God and acting like it was 100% man?

  Further, would you mind using paragraphs, to break up your comments, please. It really would make it far easier to read.

  Also, the patience and understanding thing is called tolerance...

  Finally, before you continue your tirade against plum, it may pay you to ask her for a confession of faith.

  Your last post presented your position far clearer than your previous posts. The tone was also far more reasonable.
  I think we had got off to a misunderstanding (both of us).
  Lets keep this thread going a bit longer and see if we can't come to understanding of where we all truly stand.

  If I may be so bold, I would suggest that you try not to be so dogmatic as to your assessment of where each poster stands. The truth is that few of us really know each other. Assumptions lead to error and upset.

  I should swiftly add that I have little to disagree with in your last post, however I'll try to contribute more later (I'm at work again ).

  Incidentally, my compliment was of cello's quote of J.R.Brown, not his book offering. I think he took it that way, too.
