Need Some Help!!!
by Moridin ini recently heard that the elders have a book written by the wtbts that is given to a parent who has a spouse who left the org or to grandparents who have children that left the org.
the book is designed to help you turn the children against the unbelievers so that you can get custody of them.
if there is anyone with any info on this please either post here or send me an email.

$50 each for CD-Roms of old Watchtowers? You gotta be joking.
You can get blank CD-R's for about £1 each here and it would only cost a couple of dollars most for postage. Add a little bit for your time yes, but $45??? (assuming you use expensive CD-R's).
$50. $54 including postage. EACH. I cant believe that. Daylight robbery. I'll give you $5 each max.
Do the WTS know about this?

'Fleeing' to the mountains?
by ISP in*** rbi8 matthew 24:15-16 ***.
15 "therefore, when you catch sight of the disgusting thing that causes desolation, as spoken of through daniel the prophet, standing in a holy place, (let the reader use discernment,) 16 then let those in jude'a begin fleeing to the mountains.
the wts believes this has relevance in relation to end-time prophecies.

Identity of 'Spiritual Israel'
by Jr inin order to qualify as spiritual israel there has to be certain fundamental characteristics or basic truths.
these basic truths are revealed in the law covenant given by moses.
and can be traced down from the nation of israel, down through the 1st century congregation, and further down until our day and time.

Jehovah's nation is also referred to in the Bible as a vineyard. Isaiah 5:1-7 and Matthew 21:33-45 are two examples.
Vineyards in Biblical times involved a lot of maintenance. Harper's Bible Dictionary states:quote:
Vineyards required long term intensive care. The soil was first dug and cleared of stones and a wall (or hedge) erected to discourage predatore (Ps 80:12-13). A watchtower and wine-vat completed this installation, with a booth for lodging during the harvest. Vines required heave annual pruning, hoeing, thinning and support of fruit clusters, and sometimes irrigation. Intensive labour heightened expectations of the harvest and made loss of the vintage a bitter dissapointment
And, an additional comment about the "watchtower" states:quote:
In addition to the military function of towers, farmers built small watchtowers in fields and vineyards. These towers provided elevated positions from which fields were guarded; the ground floor of such structures served as living quaters for fieldworkers or guards, since ripening crops had to be guarded day and night
Certainly, if someone worked so hard and made such preparations, it would be a "bitter dissapointment" to recieve only "bad fruit" or worthless grapes during "harvest" time.
The account in Isaiah 5:1-7 shows Jehovah has made every material asset available to facilitate production of the desired fruit. As mentioned in verse 2, He has 'dug out a winepress'. The grapes do not need to be transported to any other location, but can be trampled, or crushed right there in the vineyard. Everything is convinent.
Jehovah has "cleared stones" from their path
He has removed "stones" or political blockades. stumbling blocks such as man-made laws, city and governmental ordinances, yes legal restrictions, that are designed to hinder their activity and growth as a people or "vineyard". It cannot be denied that the Witnesses have become famous over the years for fighting and winning cases in the Supreme Court, on the flag salute, blood transfusions, exemptions from military service, etc.
Jehovah has provided a "Watchtower" for the Vineyard
Jehovah has also provided a point of lookout, a "Watchtower" which every "vineyard" needs, to help alert his people of possible dangers seen far off in the distance. Also the "watchtower" can serve as living quaters for these "watchmen". These watchmen who have opportunity to reside at the "Watchtower" lookout point, or at the headquaters in Brooklyn New York, should be utilising their time to study the Bible and make good use of the books and information to edify the congregation.
They should also be alerting the brothers, keeping them on the watch by way of their own constant personal Bible study and instruction, seeing that their every material concern is taken care of there.
Who is really taking care of these watchmen? It is no other than Jehovah God, owner of the "vineyard".
Jehovah has "planted it with the choicest vines"
Some of the facilities provided to the WTS as "cultivators" of Jehovah's Vineyard could truly be said to be the "choicest vines" to enhance the process of the "fruit" of the vine. For example, Jehovah has provided money for their use in abundance, MILLIONS of dollars DAILY, Further they have the latest in computer technology. In fact, ONLY the JW's have devised the MEPS system for simultaneous world-wide production of Bible literature.
So we can see, that Jehovah has indeed provided for His people, His vineyard. -

Benji - I hope your parents turn on your PC and look in the cache and see what a foul abusive rebellious ungrateful person you are. Maybe they will then be forced into teaching you some manners.

Hello
My mom calls me that all the time. She doesn't get it that I hate that name.
She gave you that name, so put up with it.
I even wear headphones so they don't have to here it but that no good nuff for them. This aft my mom was going through my CDs she took 6 of them and said some crap about being inappropriate.
Your parents are only doing what they think is best for you. Music DOES influence, as do films. Its quite obvious the spirit of rebellion in your music has rubbed off on you. I think its for the best they forbid you to listen to the music you do. You will become a better person for it.

The kings of the earth and Armaggeddon and wrath!
by spectromize inthen the kings of the earth and the great men and the generals and the rich and the strong, and everyone, slave and free, hid in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains, calling to the mountains and rocks, "fall on us and hide us from the face of him who is seated on the throne, and from the wrath of the lamb; for the great day of their wrath has come, and who can stand before it?".
some of the kings of the earth and their supporters are aware of what the bible book of revelation says concerning the time of the end and their destruction for not having acknowledge jehovah's rulership and sovereignty, also they have failed to acknowledge jesus as king of kings and lord of lords in subject to the great king jehovah god.. the scriptures have put satan's system on notice but few take notice.
they prefer to live like the days of noah.

Twvsnt: you might be interested in the following quote from an older post:
COLLEGE EDUCATION/HIGHER LEARNING:
The WTS has taught for many years that the attending of college was a BAD THING...and discouraged tens of thousands from attending a university of any sorts, of higher learning, and gaining a college degree.
To attest to the factualness of this occurence, today, almost all of the Circuit, District, Branch Personnel, Missionaries, Governing Body members, present today, who did not have this opportunity before becoming Jehovah's Witnesses, WILL HAVE TO ADMIT WHEN QUESTIONED, that they are thus, in this most pitiful, pitiable, pennyless, deplorable condition today, all because of "man-made" indoctrination heaped upon them by WTS headquarters staff. Yes, ALL ARE WITHOUT COLLEGE EDUCATION to this day because of this "man-made," human reasoning concoction, "commandment of men," that is clearly not taught in the Scriptures, God's Word. A Fact!
Now, it is totally appropriate and proper for a JW to go to college, if he so chooses. But not so, a few years ago. It was a "sin" to go to college, a few years ago, as taught by the WTS.
...a "commandment of men."
Today, we know, the Bible does not teach nor speak on such a matter about attending a university of higher learning.
But yet, over the past many years, the WTS has enforced this "commandment of men," and even insisted upon making this an "unstated rule" by frequently withholding privileges of responsibility to any who pursued a college education, despite their warnings, privileges that could be held within the organization. This is a fact.
All brothers and sisters in Special Services in the organization today, Special Pioneers, Missionaries, Travelling Overseers, Bethel personnel, all KNOW THIS to be a FACT..and can attest to this to be the situation, the situation, since their very lifes, present state of affairs, actually speaks for them!
They are "uneducated" as a group of people, many in their late 50s, 60s, 70s, and above.
Ask them why, they didn't go to college, and see if the "answer" is not unanimously linked to "counsel" from "Mother Bethel.
"Commandments of men,"...idolatry.
