by Room 215 inwith the pre-memorial drums beating through dubland, it brings to my mind how the jw insistence on a literal reading of the 144,000 in revelation 7 and 14 has poisoned their entire outlook of the new testament and the teachings of christ.. although they're the most aggressive proselytizers of christendom, it's no wonder they've cooked up a host of specious rationalizations to demur on invitations to participate in public debates: they must know that their position on this bedrock teaching of christianity, i.e.
that jesus died and was raised for all and in his position of hevenly glory, intercedes on their behalf.
there's no question that any attempt by jws to defend their ludicrous teaching in a public forum would subject them to embarassment and well-deserved ridicule, and expose their cultishess.. and this is but the tip of the proverbial iceberg: look what the literal 144,000 does to eviscerate the power of jesus illustration of the sheep and the goats; it compels jws to equivocate on other crystal clear christian concepts, i.e the sonship of god and leading of the holy spirit.

Why love God?

You should know by now religion is not from God, God does want us to live out our lives, through living out our lives and showing people love and kindness is how glory is given to Him.
As for Moses, he extracted the urine a bit claiming glory for himself that didnt belong to him.
He hasnt taken away our free thought. It is that free thought when misused which creates this world we live in with its pain and suffering. Why is what earthling man does with his OWN will and his OWN choices and his OWN mind God's fault?

These are given when Christians are ressurected, as opposed to a fleshly body as flesh with its blood cannot enter the kingdom of the heavens.

If this was the case they would have no leaders other than Christ. However, JW's are to listen to and obey MEN.
The GB are at the top, they tell the DO's what to do, who tell the CO's what to do, who tell the Elders what to do, who tell the MS's what to do, these all tell the rank & file what to do.
If your religion was the true one, they would not be telling each other what to do. They would be sharing and encouraging. Why is there a need for a SECRET book that only ELDERS are allowed to see? There should be NONE of this secrecy amongst the brothers if they were Christ's true brothers. This is evidence of a ranking system.
Re expenses, what is the justification in giving CO's and DO's luxury expensive top of the range stuff, like suits, cars, accomodation, while they guilt trip the poor into contributing towards that?
Re telling by looking if people are of a higher rank, the Watchtower are the masters of deception.
