  My demon experience

  one recent afternoon, me and a buddy were taking a trek around a nearby neighborhood and made our way past a delapidated house that had all the familiar symptoms of being haunted.

  he suggested we check it out so, of course, we did.

  it looked like it had been abandoned probably 30-40 years earlier but the previous owners had left behind a small coffee table.

  For the sake of argument, just because something seldom occurs, and therefore is difficult to nearly impossible to falsify, does not make it true. I agree, however, on holding off on labeling the event. The thing is, you have to be open to be proved wrong, on both sides.

  it also encounters difficulties predicting much of anything, including the very basic features of the universe we live in.. .

  i had heard of the book and had seen reviews before i picked it up at discount bookstore.

  Kepler, no matter how much we 'advance', we will still always have the same basic needs. Self-validation is a powerful drug.

  It's a good thing diversity ensures that society, as a whole, will never box itself in completely.

  After seeing Sparlock movie

  today i had some time to see the sparlock movie.. first at all i want to thank my jw parents for giving me a free youth within the jw belief.

  i was gifted with a great fantasy.

  i played daily characters like tank general (on my bike), secret service employee (behind the couch), the family wizard (with tricks) and soldier... my parents knew it, and loved it.. this dvd is not representative of all jw family's!.

  It is my hopes that parents will continue to neglect these videos for what they are, crap. As long as there continue to be liberal JWs within the Org, the Society will always have a thorn to deal with.

  i've just happened upon the following website article featuring an interview between richard dawkins and dr rowan williams, the archbishop of canterbury.

  i was surprised to discover that, when asked directly "why don't you call yourself an agnostic?

  OK, I am too old and missing it - but what is this SPARLOCK phenomenon?

  at first, i thought it was some legitimate cartoon character (disney or such) that the society was putting down as "demonized".. then, i started getting the idea that perhaps (unbelievably) the society had made him up as a negative "teaching device" to warn jw kids about "worldly demonism".... can this possibly be true?.

  surely not even the wtbts could be that stupid!!!.

  can somebody explain this to me, please???
