  remember that old movie, the adventures of robin hood with erroll flynn?.

  there is a scene where robin wants to cross a creek by walking across a log used as a bridge.

  friar tuck is determined to stop him.. the are both standing on the log over the creek opposing each other with not-all-too-friendly banter.. somebody is going to end up in the water!.

  some have been wondering if the watchtower might reinstate jesus after disfellowshipping him as the one mediator between god and man.. apparently not.. "future light" from march 2012 reaffirms that jesus has been indefinitely replaced by a ruling religious clergy class of mediators.. "those in the covenant are few, a mere 144,000. through them, millions from all nations will be blessed with everlasting life in an earthly paradise.

"the anointed" in the nt/nc scriptures is always "ho kristos" or "the christ" - who the wbt$ has openly replaced (for several decades now) with a small group of fallen humans (11,824 false christs in 2011) who the blind sanhedrin (gb) lyingly claim to represent.. .

  The Science Thread

  i am starting this thread because so many others have taken such interesting turns and, on some ocassions, been threadjacked, sometimes by me.

  i hesitate to post it in "personal experiences" because it is most certainly not a personal experience, but i don't know what would be a better area.. the purpose here is to clear up a lot of confusion about what science and the scientific method are and are not.

  science is a method for investigating observations, gaining knowledge, correcting knowledge.

  Need some sage JWN advice

  it has been two years since my family stopped attending and being "active".

  my daughter is in her 30's settled and teaching with a masters degree she got post her separation and divorce four years ago from a witness, she is remaried and happy.

  we just celebrated our first xmas since joining jw in the early 80's.. my wife now has increasing bouts of extreme anger (that border on violence) directed primarily at me for wasting twenty years of her life and causing my daughter to have periodic problems with flashbacks and anxiety.

  my very dear friends brother died tragically at work a few years back-the employer's were at fault 100%.

  my friend cindy, her mom lily and his wife tammy-(all witnesses-not their real names) filed a lawsuit against the company and won a judgment of $1.2 million dollars.

  the check was cut and cindy and her mom haven't seen one penny of the judgment.

  a couple of words of explanation:.

  this was written about six months ago, and has come up again in another context.

  i thought to post it here in the hope that someone would wish to share their thoughts on it.. secondly, "the uniter - parts 1 & 2" were modified from an earlier series entitled "gitmo", in response to the questions raised by the terrorist prison in guantanamo, cuba.

  he just flew into hawaii from korea where he took part in some of the consultations brought about by kim jong il's death.

  I cannot believe my father called me to ask this!

  so my father, a jw bum who abandoned us when we were children to be with his pioneer whore, called me tonight and left a message.

  this is surprising because i have not seen or spoken to him for a couple of years, other than to leave a message a couple of weeks ago to tell him that i had to hospitalize my sister for being suicidal.. i found out about a week ago that one of his very good friends, a brother whose family used to go to the hall with us and used to be close to when we were children is dying in the hospital after having a couple of strokes and a heart attack.

  they've been talking about taking him off of the ventilator for a few days.

  so, we're sitting in the telly room together, relaxing before our journey (to see the [adult] kids tomorrow.
