SYN Is Moving To Brisbane!!!
by SYN inwell, more than a few people on this site and elsewhere know about this already...i managed to land a job in brisbane, australia.
i'll probably arrive there before the 5th of january.. this means that i won't be able to post very much for the forseeable future, but i'm still holding my supreme post in reserve for something new i've been writing recently.... i'm going to go and work for pandemic studios (www.pandemicstudios.com).
mostly i just wanted to thank all the amazing australian people who've been helping me out with information and things during the past couple of weeks - you guys rock!

I guess this is a good time to say good bye.
by Monster inwell half of you don't know me but all of you helped in one way or another you'll never understand how much.
i wish i had more time to get on personal levels with you all but that's not going to happen now.
i didn't tell my family but, i am kind of worried about the war, something tells me it's not going to be another six day war.

Well, I guess it is my turn.

but that is about to change, my sister called me tonight to tell me the news.
my mom had called her to tell her that the elders wanted to know where i lived because they wanted to encourage me to come back.

Years later, the elders finally admitted that my step-father sexually molested me. Was he df? No, they decided to declare his baptizm void
HUH???? Wow, what a pack of *%&$#$%*@*'s! One of the most tragically absurd decisions by a group of elders that I have heard. I'm so sorry. ((Pamkw))
To say that they owe you an apology is an understatement. For them to approach you with anything less than that is an insult.
You owe these guys nothing, but you do what you think is best. It's just that I would hate for another group of elders to get an opportunity to manhandle you yet again.

by Jesus Christ ini know that my grandmother died before her time because she refused a transfusion that could have saved her life long enough to see her grandson get married.
i know there was nothing i could have told my cousin back in high school when he said he didn?t want to disobey god by taking blood to fight his leukemia but even more importantly didn?t want to die.
i know i have a cousin whose wife loves him but unlike most couples doesn?t expect to spend forever with her husband because he?s the only one that will be going to heaven.

An update and an apology to new and old

and this is in part due to my health problems and how they are affecting me.. i got those $400 orthotics to put in my shoes.

Facial Hair and J.W.'s
by Coop Man ini have always wondered why witnesses are not "allowed" to have facial hair.
when i asked a local elder just a few weeks ago (he had no idea i was inactive, just happened to bump into him while my parents were visiting from out of town), his explanation was that "in some countries, it is totally acceptable to have beards, goatees etc...., but in the u.s. of a., facial hair is a sign of rebellion.
so, the local or territorial opinions on beards is what drives the local congregations policies.

Just last week, we had a very bad problem with an individual
who wanted to grow a beard in a congregation, and his reason was
that, uh, why shouldn't he? Jesus grew a beard and if we wanted to
be so much like Jesus, why would we say that it's not so good
for a Christian to grow a beard at the world's end? Well, people want to
be independent in their minds.Well, Jesus did wear a beard. But Jesus also wore a garment that looked
like a dress. So would they want to put one of those on, or would they want
to wear sandals? So the time and season is not ripe. It's not for a person
to do thus and so just because they can find an instance in the bible. -

Almost 2 yrs out of JW,,,,,finally feeling free,,thanks to you all
by LyinEyes init has almost been 2 years since i d/a myself and walked away from a life time of being a jw.
it has not been an easy road,,,,,the first several months were terrifiying , confusing, emotions going back and forth on weither i was doing the right thing.
a year after leaving, i just didnt care anymore , but still felt like i was an ex jw.

My parents at the International Convention
by Odrade inso my parents go to the international convention in an exotic foreign country.
they take 300 digital pictures in the exotic foreign country.
when they get home, they send me three pictures.
