Interesting idea, Searcher -- if some found a group of people they could interact with socially, my first thought would be that they would probably want to get to know their new aquaintances better and attend more apostofests, LoL -- But I think I could understand how someone might want to get away from anything/anyone(incl. exJWs) that even remotely reminded them of the JW experience. Is this really an issue of men vs boys? Who knows? To each his own.

many years ago, i was so innocent i still considered it possible that we could become the humane and reasonable america so many members of my generation used to dream of.

any particular reason for such decision?

i have health fears, so long ago i decided against having children.

sometimes i feel afraid of growing old alone and lonely, but lately i've realized that having children is no guarantee of any future situation.

I think whatever feels best for you is nobody else's business.

I imagine that it must get annoying to have people being critical (and bringing subtle and not-so-subtle pressure on you to pro-create) simply because you choose a life without children. (())
