SOMEONE STOLE MY SCOOTER

this freaking sucks big time.
someone had to break the wheel lock then dragged it through the grass a little ways when they noticed the back wheel had a chain on it.

Had to put my dog to sleep today :*(

the neighbor found her in his yard having a grand mal.
i adopted her in 2002 from a shelter, shes a sheltie, and she was fine and wonderful and loved us and protected us.

I adopted her in 2002 from a shelter, shes a sheltie, and she was fine and wonderful and loved us and protected us. About three years ago she started having seizures and we spent a ton of money trying to figure out the cause and to control them but it was futile. And with each seizure she became weaker and more disoriented and also had constant breathing problems and a nasal infection that was also hindering her breathing. And then she displaced a hip so she was in sad shape. My oldest son is realllllly upset about this. He kept threatening ME not to "kill his dog" or he would be mad at me forever. But he was never around when she was seizing or bleeding or cleaned up after her when she lost control. But today he saw...and he saw the look in her eyes. And he understood. He wont let me touch him or try to comfort him. Hes angry that she is leaving I think. He went with my husband to the vet. She didnt even know who we were this morning and didnt want me to touch her. Whenever she felt a seizure coming on she would come find momma to help her...and I never could.
We will miss her. But Ive had dozens of animals blessing my life in my 54 years and they depend on us not to let them suffer because we are selfish and want to keep them here.

People suck. I have never in my life seen so much "whats mine is mine and whats YOURS is mine!" attitude. My son was stopped a few years ago while riding his bike by two grown men in hoods and threatened with a baseball bat to give them his wallet...on a MAIN road no less. Unfortunately for my son, or fortunately, he had $300 on him that he had just gotten for selling his computer. Grown fucking men mugging a 14 year old kid. We told the police but the idiot cop sat in my kitchen and MOCKED us and pretended to take a statement and put out a BOLO and all this shit when by the time he did that they would have been in Texas.
My brother in law had a compressor taken from his driveway in broad daylight...and our neighbor had someone back a truck up to his boat and just hauled it away out of his driveway while he was at work.
Ive had kids try to break into my house thinking nobody was home and one even had the balls to walk through and pick up jewelry laying on the counter on the way out. But the bastard was so cocky he wore it to SCHOOL the next day. BIG mistake...it was my sons and he recognized it. He brought half the basketball team over to where the kid was having lunch ....he got it back. I also went to the kids house and told his parents. His dad was like..."so...what did he steal now?" ugh.
Im sorry for your loss. Really...people suck.

Did You Know Anyone That Got In Trouble For "Celebrating" July 4th?
by minimus ini knew of a slew of jw revelers that got into trouble with the elders for "celebrating" the holiday with fireworks and/or a picnic.. did you ever get counseled for celebrating a nation's birthday?>.

I am from the Arlington Heights area of Illinois and there is a horseracing track at Arlington where they would put on an emmense display every year. It was within a mile of the Kingdom Hall. We wouldnt go TO the track and watch mind you..that would be "participating" but there was a play ground across the street where we would sit...including my very JW husband and watch them with the kids.
My husband even this year went to the party as he has every year that his sister has on the 4th. He even went to teh fireworks with us a few years. I dont know what switch he has that goes on and off. This year he was adamant about NOT going to the display after having been at the PARTY all day.

Looking for some help about marriage

he isn't a jw but she is (even though she doesnt really go or believe in it), her parents are strict jw's but wont goto their wedding cause of something about being unevenly yoked?
now they both want her parents to go, but the parents tend to think they are not allowed to go.

Even if this woman isnt an active JW now, if her parents are there will be constant pressure to get her to go and him to go too. And if there are children, the mom might not be pushing the religion but the grandparents WILL and every time they have those kids they will be training them as JWs and taking them to meetings and such. Trust me...trust us....this HAPPENS.
Maybe if they sign a pre-nup saying that their children will NOT be raised as or around JWs or the marriage is DONE.

by Tired of the Hypocrisy inhi all, i had to share this little tidbit i just learned of this week.. my elderly and disbaled father in law as you may remember is married to one grade - a bitch of an abusive wife/regular pioneer.
she has been going three times per week to a variety of different local churches and collecting bread from their food-for-the-poor programs.
now she is not poor.

"Queenie" has passed away
by Brymichmom ini got an email from her daughter lisa this morning regarding "queenie", who used to post on this forum as well as others, such as my yahoo groups.
many of you long timers on this forum probably remember queenie.
she had multiple health problems and took a turn for the worse last month after a fall and died yesterday.

Got baptized in April 1985 and by summer of 1986, I knew I was in trouble...and stuck in it. Living with the PO and his wife, and getting summarily dumped by a MS whom I was dating that if he didnt marry me he couldnt be an elder. So...he dumped me to become an elder!! Dickhead. And I had been excluded from three close friends weddings that summer because I was spending all my TIME with that jerk! So...I was very jaded about everything and that fall the PO and his wife had a congregation picnic, I met my now husband...swallowed all the flaws I thought I saw, got married in the hall, had three kids and DAd 11 years later...hating damn near every minute of it.
We always had great parties, showers, weddings, and shit like that...that was the only saving grace.
