Excellent. I've read a lot of your posts as I am in the same situation. Just last night we celebrated my younger son's 10th birthday, cake and everything. In December we celebrated my older son's 13th birthday. We did Christmas in December. This summer they are going to camp.
It's good to see them enjoying a regular life when they can.

Backing out of a discussion tends to happen when you try to claim a myth is real with no facts or substance to back it up and all the actual facts are against you.

Well of course you think it is a myth, EP. I thought that was a given? If you are going to discuss it though, then you have to discuss what it entails... rather than falling back on 'it is a myth'.
You try to treat it as objective fact with nothing to back it up. What's your point?

I am not saying that one cannot love without Christ giving them love. I am saying that Christ loves... and plenty of people would not turn their nose up at someone who loves them, especially not if they also love that person.
So what need for Christ then? I have love and hapiness without him.

Paul does not think that a christian is any better than anyone else.
Paul wrote that non-Christians are broken. Paul wrote that non-Christians are not fully human. I don't think you have any idea what Paul thinks. I don't think he does either since it seems impossible to write a cogent, rational position that is internally consistent.
He does not oppress people, and the thought would not even enter his mind.
No one here opresses anyone. He does think I am broken and he is not, though. He wrote it several times. What do you think of that?

Christ is the Life. Death has no hold over anyone who belongs to Christ.
Every single Christian has died. Clearly your position is not true.
Christ gives us love, and there are plenty of people who wouldn't turn their noses up for that.
You said plenty of non-theists have love. Clearly I don't need Christ to have love.
So, Christ doesn't stop death, nor is he the source of love. What's the point?

So no. I did not even remotely imply that non-christians do not have love written upon their hearts. Just the opposite.
Then what is the need for God, Christ, etc.?

You said that people without God were equal but broken, somehow less. I said that's the same argument and type of thinking used to opress brown and gay people. If you found that to mean that YOU were racists or homophobic, then you need to re-read and figure out why. You are using the same arguments.
